Minutes of the September 2009 Meeting
The regular monthly meeting was called to order on September 8, 2009, at 7:02pm by President, Mary Lou Bruggeman. The members present approved the
minutes of the August meeting. Treasurer Carol Lankford gave the Treasurer's Report which was approved by the members present
Membership Update: Brian Peters is our newest club member with a black 2004 Z06.
-August 16 Autocross: The Vettes in the Midwest Autocross was a success!
-The next autocross is September 19th. This will be an afternoon/evening event. Tech inspect starts at 1:00 and the 1st car out is at 3:00. If available to set-up, please be to the mall by 11:00am.
The topic of having a competition Corvette Weekend was discussed. We have 7 sanctioned events available per year and discussed putting them all in one weekend to bring out a large attendance including autocross, drag racing, gimmick rally, etc.
VETTES IN THE MIDWEST:
-Mary Lou Bruggeman spoke with Bruce Layman regarding our share of profits from Vettes In The Midwest and we should be getting a check soon for $978.
-We had hat pins left over from Vettes In The Midwest. Mike Shumny made a motion to give hat pins to any member who wants one. Jim Seward seconded the motion. The Motion was approved. The rest of the hat pins will be kept until next year to be sold at Vettes
In The Midwest.
PROPOSED CHANGE TO THE BYLAWS:
The club voted at the August meeting to change our due to $50 per couple and $40 per single person to offset the NCCC dues. We proposed that we should
change the date that the dues were due.
The club voted on the proposal to amend the bylaws. The vote was unanimously in favor of the change. Our annual dues will be due at the October meeting.
Debi Rankin attended the Northwest Arkansas Corvettes Show in Rogers on August 29th. She reported that there was a good turnout and good weather.
Jane Ballard attended the Duenweg Cruise Night. She said there were over 50
cars in attendance and the proceeds went toward the parks.

John & Colleen Holt- They went to a party at Aaron Wright' s house. When they were walking home, John said that he knew where there was a Corvette for
sale. They bought their 1996 Green Coupe and it sat in the back yard for about 6 months until they joined the Corvette Club.
