The regular monthly meeting of 4-State Vettes was held Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Granny Shaffer’s on North Rangeline.
The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by Club president, Larry Lankford
J. J. with Red Cross informed us about an event August 14. Ride for the Red Bike and Car show will be held at Landreth Park. Registration is from11 am - 1 pm. There will be a Poker Run. Registration is $20 for single rider and $30 for double. Cost includes dinner. You can register on line or on the day of the event
There was one guest/new member - Michael Wiseman from Welch OK.
Michael has a ’04 Smoke Gray Coupe. He joined the Club at the end of the meeting.
Minutes from the April meeting were approved
Treasurer’s Report was approved.
On May 15 six cars from Hawg Country Corvette Club came and met with some of our Club. They ate at Stogey’s, and then went on to see Big Brutus and to eat at Chicken Annies Original.
Also on May 15, three of our members attended the Vettes and Vipers Car Show/Poker Run in Butler, MO. Larry received a trophy for 3rd place.
Phil gave a report on the May 22nd Autocross. We cleared $565 from the event.
One June 5 a few members attended the Galena Days Car Show and had a good time.
Abbi is still working on the idea of t-shirts instead of trophies for Autocross, but will have to wait until next year to actually get it started.
Phil and Mark are still working on having an Autocross at Crowder.
Saturday, June 13 is the annual picnic at the Marker’s. Members last names A - M are asked to bring side dishes; N - Z are asked to bring desserts.
Anyone interested in helping with Vettes in the Midwest - there will be a meeting Fri. evening at 6:30 at Granny Shaffer’s

Mary Lou will look at our bylaws and make recommendations to changes that are necessary at our next meeting.
1st Corvette Story - Michael Wiseman - It was a ’66 and he raced it. He doesn’t have it anymore.
Door Prizes - won by Linda Lawrence, Jeff Bruggeman, Abbi Sinclair and Richard Sink
50/50 was won by Michael Wiseman
