Posted August 6th, 2008 10:59 PM IP Who's in for some timed 50/100 yard clay shootin'? Braggin' rights are up for grabs...
Jim -- I'm thinking a setup like we had at the 200 yard spot, but at 50/100 yard. Some string and rubber bands ought to do the trick re: holding those Daisy clays. Whatcha think?

Posted August 7th, 2008 01:12 PM IP Yep... I've got a CED shot timer. We'll set it up so we go from a seated position at the buzzer to 1st shot. Quickest time to acquire and pop the clay wins... or something similar we dream up on the spot. If you're really quick with that bolt gun, we'll do multiple shots Hell... if you want, we can run at the buzzer to the pistol back berm and back... and then shoot. HAHAHAHA

Posted August 7th, 2008 01:26 PM IP Hey that's an idea! Somethin' we can safely use the pistol berm for! ( Dang, I just couldn't let that one by ).
But I thing we need smaller targets! The thoughts and opinions expressed by me here on this forum are IN NO WAY to be taken as the policy of BASC nor or they to be taken as the opinion of the BASC Board of Directors. They are as they have always been, MY OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS ONLY- Jim

Posted August 7th, 2008 02:52 PM IP How about Pistols from the holster. Rifles freehand or shotguns on multiple clays . I'll bring a box of clays.

Posted August 7th, 2008 03:45 PM IP I suppose all this will take place Sunday, right?
Saturday would be better!!
I do believe the range will be less crowded on Saturday!
I find Saturday to be a rather fine day for shooting!!
(Since Sunday I'm churchin' it!)
By the way I chasing a lead to obtain bowling pins, maybe Saturday will become the "Pin Shoot" day, (I can only hope)!

I let you know Jef, thanks again!

Posted August 7th, 2008 04:13 PM IP Gary -- Ya know... when I saw the lone vote for Saturday, I didn't have to page to the bottom to see who it was. I knew it had to be you. If I get my stuff bolted together by Saturday, I may be there both days. We'll see...

Posted August 10th, 2008 03:59 PM IP Well, Sunday was hotter than h*ll, at least the afternoon was (still is as I'm writing this). Jim, Kev, and I converted another old hand to the fun of the clays. I think Dave A. is definitely hooked. All hands had sharp eyes today, which resulted in massive clay casualities. They went down hard and fast. Note to self: need to pick up a C-Mag for the AR before the next shoot
Overall, there were a large number of shooters throughout the day with a wide variety of firearms. Cease-fires were definitely the time to BS... and there was plenty of that.
Oh, and it was decided friends don't let friends use Horus Vision... I'll bring the Dramamine for you adventurous souls next time.

Posted August 10th, 2008 08:10 PM IP Yeah, you gotta watch ole' Tackleberry at all times!
30 rounds after the agreed upon 5, shame on you Jeff!
The little clays are a hoot, we just gotta get Jeff under control.
Dave was awful funny when the new guy showed up with the AR10, and said "damn that thing is loud, is that what I have been doin' to ya'll? "
And Jeff's new compensator...............every time he shot it blew my hat off! But at least that's better than catchin' his hot brass down the back of my shirt. LOL
Another great Sunday A.M. with good guys at the range.
