Well, I'm not able to report on BASC range conditions today, since we got back from Thunder Gun Range (Conroe) a little late. But if it was anything like what we saw in Conroe, it was another beautiful day. The humidity this morning was very low and the temp was not bad. Later this afternoon, it did get a little toasty, but it could have been much worse.

Brian W., John N., and I shot in an IDPA carbine match. For me, it's always a learning experience. Brian, John, Dave, and Chris are much better. That's a good thing though. I've learned alot in the last four matches from these guys... good shooters and great guys.

And for those who are hesitant to try one of these matches, all I can say is -- it has, and is, improving my gun handling a lot. I've been embarassed a few times, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. That's something coming from me... I HATE to be embarassed. Oh I can laugh at myself (thankfully), but if I can avoid embarassment, I will. BUT I will participate in these IDPA/IPSC/USPSA pistol/carbine/shotgun matches gladly, knowing my skills will get better.

I'll step off my soapbox and cut the sales pitch short. Hope everyone had a great day at BASC.

You're a putz.

The Sunday BASC RRC is diminished by your absence.

The thoughts and opinions expressed by me here on this forum are IN NO WAY to be taken as the policy of BASC nor or they to be taken as the opinion of the BASC Board of Directors. They are as they have always been, MY OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS ONLY- Jim

The moment we begin to fear the opinions of others and hesitate to tell the truth that is in us, and from motives of policy are silent when we should speak, the divine floods of light and life no longer flow into our souls.
