This past weekend I went to the Texas Panhandle, drove 800 miles from Houston to the "top" of Texas and no 1000 yard dog.
Even though I knock down three prairie dogs at 1200 yards, we could not find them. It was to windy, so most of the shooting was inside the 500 yards.

1200 yards! What a deal! It's just too bad you couldn't find 'em..........
I guess that long stuff was with the 6mmAI?????

Pronghorn at 200 yards, we had to stop shooting and enjoy it.

We saw a bunch of Pronghorns between Carlsbad and Santa Fe. They sure had my trigger finger twitchin'.

I prefered Kev's steaks, and shoot p-dogs, we need to get some varmint rifles for this guys, 223 AI maybe?

I’m a thinking that with that cal. You would need an arty spotter down range. Now with a “real” man’s varmint caliber like .243 AI or 6.5/284 that should be the ticket.
