To all: (and especially, El Jefe, Bill E. 'Site Admin')
In my humble experience, an internet forum such as this can ofttimes be said to be "driven" by a 'Marketplace' or in other terms, a "Classified" ad section. Members post "WTS" (Want to Sell) and "WTB" or "WTT" (Want to Buy or Want to Trade) People will cruise the ads and then surf around for general or specific topic discussion. On a board that is operated by the income it generates from paid advertisers, the free trade among members fosters more traffic and sales potential for the vendors that make a living selling their (gun related) wares. (You will note, Jim, I didn't use the vocabulary word of the day  )
In our case, I am thinking that if we had a dedicated Marketplace forum and the word got out, we would immediately increase the traffic on the club board many-fold (that is not a word, Jim)
For me, I would also suggest that any sale have a bit of the proceeds sent to the BASC as a donation. Now, mind you, I am not talking about a requirement. For example, if a person such as me offered an item up for sale, I would add in the advertisement that $ x.xx of the sale will go to BASC. This will catch on. AMHIK. Not everyone will do it and that is okay.
The main thing I am driving at is simply to increase traffic, hence get our members acquainted, interested, active and having fun while uniting as a group of men, women and children who hold our freedoms dear.

That is a great idea! Any thing we can do to get the membership AND the directors using the board and commincating will be positive
I wonder how we could get this implemented??????
The classifieds is the first section I hit on the other Forums I frequent, and I have gotten some great purchases and made some good friends on them.
Keep on ranting guy, I am not sure where I heard it but "A pot that is not stirred becomes stagnant" ( or something like that anyway ).

This is a great idea.
A classified section would be a big draw.

How do we get this done??? It does not appear that the board members spend much time here to see or requests. How do we get this to them????
