Posted November 6th, 2010 09:30 PM IP I wanted to ask for your prayers for my husband, #752, Travis Turner, who was unexpectedly killed 10/26/2010. He was finishing up a subcontract with Bush Airport and was struck by a tram.
He (and our family) were often at the range...almost every Saturday or Sunday. He drove a white explorer. This was my best friend for over 38 years and amazing father of 2 wonderful adult sons.
Please hug your dear ones. They leave for work and are supposed to be home for dinner. It doesn't always happen that way.
Please keep him "on line in your hearts"...Grieving...Travis Turner family.

Posted November 6th, 2010 09:50 PM IP I know this is not the correct thread for deaths. But please allow this to remain a few days before moving. He was an honorable man, earning an honorable pay for his family when he was unexpectedly taken.
Maybe God needed him to fix the pearly gates.
Respectfully,
Mrs. #752

Posted November 8th, 2010 07:31 AM IP I’m deeply sorry to hear of your loss! There aren’t many words that will comfort at a time like this but you have my sympathy.

Posted November 8th, 2010 07:05 PM IP I am very sorry for your loss. And the JIMTEX family will keep you in our prayers and thoughts.
The thoughts and opinions expressed by me here on this forum are IN NO WAY to be taken as the policy of BASC nor or they to be taken as the opinion of the BASC Board of Directors. They are as they have always been, MY OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS ONLY- Jim
The moment we begin to fear the opinions of others and hesitate to tell the truth that is in us, and from motives of policy are silent when we should speak, the divine floods of light and life no longer flow into our souls.

Posted November 9th, 2010 05:28 PM IP Thank you so much for your kind and comforting words. But thank you mostly for your prayers. I've posted what my son wrote for Travis' memorial service under the "In Loving Memory" section. Thank you for allowing this to remain in this section. We'll still be at the range often, and Travis will be with us, in our hearts...his favorite place to be.
Respectfully,
The Turner Family

Posted November 9th, 2010 06:13 PM IP Please accept my most sincere condolences. As a pretty regular Sunday shooter, I may have shot with Travis but am sorry to say I don't recognize the name (I remember faces better than names) reasonable gun control is .75 MOA
