Well???????????

My AR likes 25.7 gr of Benchmark with a 52 gr Speer flat base Hp.
Sierra book doesn't list benchmark with the 69 but does give 24.6 gr as max with a 65 gr bullet.
Nosler doesn't list Benchmark with the 69 gr bullets.
Hodgdon lists 23.5 gr Benchmark as max with a 69 gr bullet at 2970 fps.
One shooter on Reloaders Nest recommends 23.0 gr benchmark with the 69 gr. Said that it gave .25" groups

I got this rifle for my wife, pretty good trade, don't you think?

Let's do a ladder test @ 200 yds, what kind of powders you have, do you have good cases?

G,
I was looking for a load that I could "clean up the berm" with and not lose my sight picture. I have a good (and fast) load for 69 gr. SMKs at 200 yds., but I can't regain fast enough to see what happened.
I was thinking that maybe a light load with a 52 gr. bullet would do it.
I don't know.....just tinkerin'. Just trying not to buy a .17 HMR, which may be perfect for the task.

Well, you can play with the 40 grainers @ 3600 fps and the 50s @ 3400 fps, 223 is a nice cartridge to play with, the 338 Edge not so much, no sir.

G,
I want to try some 40 grainers, but will try 52s first cause I have some.
But, due to my short attention span, I'm gonna stick with 69gr. bullets for now. I think I'm on to something with one of Ken's loads, you saw the group, 3/8", or .37" in the BR world.
By the way, thanks for bringing Jeff, it was good to see him again and being around him makes me feel smart.

Yeah Jim you missed it. He was there and in true form with his shootin' on the move, runnin' and gunnin', armadillo almost catchin' self. He even got himself a new squeeze and a AR in 6.8 SPC.
