She looked up and nodded. Then she added a few ingredients to her potion and quickly scribbled a reply.
I could think of one reason. I'm actually somewhat psychic, as opposed to him who couldn't see a chocolate frog card in a crystal ball if we put it there.
She passed it back to him and got from Genevive.
You're still talking to him? In divination, you seemed to be keen to ignore him.
She turned to Genevive and shrugged.

The professor turned her back to the class, meaning that he could write back on the paper without any fear of getting caught.
I never knew that. Congrats! I wish you could've seen in the future before you went to Divination, then you wouldn't have detention for tonight. Which reminds me.. Did you want to postpone our little group tonight?
Zach saw the note that Genevive had written, it was one of the rare times he was being observant.

She glanced up to make sure the teacher wasn't watching before writing back.
Seriously? I could have sworn that I told you. And no, I'll be done by the time we're supposed to meet. 7, right?

No you didn't. But that's okay. Are you sure you can make it? We can always move it to tomorrow.
After he handed back the note he stirred the liquid in the cauldron clockwise like he was told.
Zach smiled back and then went back to his cauldron, since it was bubbling over.

Laura looked over at Zach. "Yikes Zach," she said, loud enough for the group to hear, but no one else. One flick of her wand and the cauldron stopped bubbling over, still managing to salvage some of the potion. The girls started to laugh.

Chance smiled at him. holding back the laughter.

"No problem," Laura said with a smug smile. She turned to Chance and made sure the others weren't listening. "My question is how they got put in Ravenclaw," she said to him.

He laughed quietly,"It's a mystery that boggles even I." Chance said in the same quiet tone she had used.
"Are two okay now?" he said peering over Laura to see if they were still talking or not.

Genevive cut in. "So, what have you guys been passing notes about?" she asked a bit too loudly. Laura gasped, hoping the teacher, with her bad hearing, hadn't heard.

Together they all kept their eyes on the teacher, and before Chance could stop himself he immediately went back to his book. It was like instinct that he stayed out of trouble, but luckily the teacher wasn't paying any attention to them, and most likely most of her students. He slowly moved his gaze back to his friends.
"Nothing..things." he said casually.

Chance pretended that he didn't hear Genevive, and just went back to the professor for the final minutes of class. He would have to get homework tonight, unlike last night. Within 5 minutes the class was over and again the class the was emptying. The next one would be with Mirabella. He smiled to himself about this.

Laura was proud of herself, having managed to finish her homework in the last five minutes of class. She was not looking forward to the next one though. She rushed a little to keep up with Chance. "Yeah, I'm sure I can make it," she answered his question from earlier.

((UHG! I had my thing written and I accidently hit the reset button. -frowns- ))
"What?" he asked confused. He had been so deep in thought about Mirabella and him, about what he was supposed to do and how was going to act around her. He figured that he should probably just be himself and hope for the best, afterall it worked for a short period of time when he was in Divination. Chance had no idea what Laura was talking about though, so he picked up his books as he waited for her to explain what she said.
Zach was still having trouble picking up his things, especially with Genevive to distract him even further.

"I'll be there," she reminded him. "And don't worry about Mirabella. Everything will be just fine." She knew this for a fact.

Chance shrugged, he never really did understand why they didn't work out the first time, it just seemed like they were too busy to have a relationship or something.

Zach had a worried expression too. "Yeah, are you okay?" he repeated Chance's words, not knowing what else to say.

Chance frowned, but suddenly realized that if they didn't move they would all get detention for being late for class. "We have to go guys. Let's talk as we walk." he said quietly. He wondered what was wrong with Genevive though. What exactly had she heard anyway?

"You know that might be a good idea," Laura nodded, "I've already gotten detention once today." She wasn't ready to let the subject with Genevive drop, and she knew she would convince her friend to tell her what was going on eventually.
Genevive wasn't sure what she had hear either. It was just something random. She figured it must have been her imagination.

He nodded and together they walked out of the now empty classroom towards charms, they weren't late yet, but if they didn't quicken their speed they would be.

Chance nodded, but kept a close eye on her, not really believing what she just told them. he decided maybe she just wanted the subject to be dropped. "Okay.." he said.
Zach was in the same position, he didn't believe her either, but unlike Chance he wanted to confirm that she was alright.
