"Okay." she nodded, looking in the direction he'd said. She could smell the grizzly, and it smelled so good to her. She sped up a little, focusing on the scent. She looked up at Emmett for a moment, he looked worried, or nervous. "Don't worry. I can handle this." she reassured him. "Just a bear, not the worst thing out there." she grinned and took off running through the woods, hoping to reach her food quickly.

He followed after her, watching her get ready to take down the grizzly. His mind raced as he watched. He hoped this all went well. "Remember to catch him from behind off guard." He said cautioning her.He remembered Alice's first grizzly and how Jasper had been. Of course Alice had done it just fine. emmett probably had nothing to worry about himsself.

Scarlett nodded slightly and slowed as the scent became stronger. She looked on and saw the grizzly. His back was turned from her, it only made it so much easier. A slow smile spread onto her lips as she crouched low. She let a soft growl rumbled through her chest as she sprang forward, catching the grizzly in a strong hold. the bear was confused before it realized it was being attacked. Scarlett merely grinned sickly at the bear. He swiped her her face, but missed. She put her hand around it's neck and watched it struggle for breath. She somewhat loved watching her prey suffer, but it was more fun with humans. As the bear chocked, she sunk her teeth into it's thick furry flesh, taking in the sweet liquid. She couldn't have been more satisfied. Finally, the bear was drained and she let it fall limply to the ground. She wiped her mouth of blood and looked up at Emmett.

Emmett watched her thinking that if he had a living heart, he would've suffered a severe heart attack. Watching her take down that bear was almost too much for him. He almost turned away, but didn't want her to be self concious about herself. He plastered on a smile and nodded when she finished. He walked up to her and wiped a drop off her chin and licked his finger. He kissed her nose. "Remind me not to watch you hunt anymore... it makes me uneasy." He said.

She half smiled as he kissed her nose. But she didn't know why her hunting made him uneasy. Was is a good or bad uneasy? She wasn't really sure. She took in a deep breath and wrapped her arms around him, wondering what the coming weeks would bring to them. They had alot to think about, and alot to do to get to know each other. Scarlett bit her bottom lip and moved her eyes to his. "Uneasy?" she brought up his statement with a soft voice.

He looked down at her his eyes softening at the look of apprehention on her face. "I've come to care about you. It makes me uneasy to watch you hunt because you could get hurt." He said softly and let his forhead lean against hers. "In time I'll likely get used to it, but it's nothing you should be worried about. It's not you it's me." He said and chuckled softly. "I'm sorry I know that's a corny thing to say, but it honestly is. Sometimes I worry for nothing. I might seem like a big guy that's rough and tumble but when things around me could be hurt, it bothers me. makes me worry."

"Emmett..." she giggled. "Im a vampire. Nothing can hurt me out here." she instantly remembered that there were other vampires who could possibly still be out there. Others that 'could' hurt her, not to mention the whole Cullen family. She couldn't have that. With that thought, things began running through her mind. Carter was one to make sure things got, she wouldn't be surprised if he had a few spies out in the woods, watching over the couple to make sure they were up to marriage business and not fooling him. She gazed off into the woods, thinking.

"I wouldn't be so sure." He said following her gaze out into the woods. There were a few times when he's been in the woods alone and felt eyes on him and wondered the same for her. "I'm sure our friend Carter has at least two minions running about. I've felt them watching. The sooner we can get this all behind us the sooner they'll leave." He said pulling her a bit closer knowing the other vampires perhaps even Carter himself where out there watching them just out of his sight line. Now that thought made him uneasy for sure. "Common lets go back to my place for a bit."

Scarlett let her arms fall to her sides and stepped away from him. She looked out into the woods once more before nodding to his suggestion. They would be safer back at his place, not to mention she would love to get to know his family, to see what she was soon to be a part of. Without a word, she slipped her hand into his and pulled him aloing in to the woods. "Why do you worry so much?" she asked as they walked.

He took her hand as they started to walk back toward his house. "I've seen some things in my time that would worry most." He said carefully. "Before I met the Cullens and was... adopted into their family I wondered about I was alone and that can do things to a person. When you find yoursself in a family and with people you care about," he said smiling down at her. "It's only natural to worry." He said and pulled her closer. "You're now part of my family and the circle of people I care about. I'll worry about you too."

"Well, at least someone cares." she sighed. Scarlett relaxed and kept close to Emmett as they kept walking. Soon enough they reached the Cullen house, it was just as beautiful as the last time she'd seen it. As they got closer, she felt herself becoming slightly nervous. She'd been around the Cullens, why was she freaking out now?
