E-DAY took place after the locust were (spoiler alert)
pushed from their underground sanctuary by the lambent who are in fact half illuminous oil and half whatever it infects. (spoiler over)
After the end of a long hard war ended by Fenix E-day starts to develop again 5 years later a new type of creature takes E-day to a whole new level as they invade survivors group up, a small COG soldiers are sent to recover a scientist who has identified the new enemy as an old foe with advanced tech...
the scientist has a guard who is known to be a son to adam fenix, but there were only 2 recorded...
The team arrives and the guard awaits, whats going to happen is up to them.

He had rigged the door with explosives in-case the new enemy forced their way in, he was guarding the scientist who had the data but could tell he was infected with this new disease, he knew cog soldiers would shout 'STARS' before kicking a door down if a HVT was inside.
