Tyeler sighed as he sat in the back of his moving van. He slightly adjusted the red and white hat on the top of his head, long tufts of black sticking out in the back and sides. He wore a black jacket with a large pokeball on the back. He stood, his blue jeans a little loose around his waist. He stood slowly as the van slowed to a stop, the back door opened by his mother. She smiled slightly up at him. "Oh, please get rid of that face by the time we meet our neighbors. They're waiting at the new house to help unpack. They have a girl about your age, so you might make a little friend today!" Being 16, Tyeler hated it when his mother talked to him in such a childish manor. He stretched a bit before hopping down the back of the truck, his hands moving into his pockets. His unhappy face didn't leave as they arrived at the new house. It was a litle smaller than the others, but with just the 2 of them it wouldn't be bad. However, his unhappy faced turned to one of surprise as his eyes suddenly landed on the daughter of their new neighbors.
(Ugh, LAAAAAAAAAAAAME starter, sorry.)

Ryoku ran around the house, her long curly brown hair pulled back as she tended to the pokemon's task. A lovely little vupix bounced around behind her, following her everywhere. Her mother, an older woman but still a beauty within her called up to Ryoku, letting her know that the neighbor's son was here. She scooped up Vupix into her arms and joined her mother at the front door. She smiled at him and said, "Sorry we beat you to your new home." Her light chocolate brown eyes smiled at him as her Vupix leaned forward, trying to sniff him.

Tyeler smiled slightly as he looked down at the little vulpix. He reached to pet it for a moment but then slowly pulled his hand back, his smile fading as he glanced away. His mother lightly smacked him upside the head. "Oh, stop being so shy... We really appreciate your help. Tyeler, Ryoku's mother here said that the local Professor needed some help at the lab. We'll unpack here while you 2 go there." She said, in an attempt to get Tyeler around Pokemon and people. He nodded slowly, staying silent.

Ryoku nodded and lowered Vupix onto the ground and took Tyeler's wrist. "Come on! The professor always has cool stuff going on!" She ran, practically dragging Tyeler out to the Professor's lab. Vupix barked as they walked/ran, barking at some near by pidgy as they few off. "Professor!" She knocked on the door as Vupix yipped softly.

Professor Juniper opened the door, slowly, peaking out. She smiled and fully opened the door, seeing it was Ryoku. "Ryoku! Come in! And it looks like you brought a friend!" Tyeler glanced away, but then glanced back. "been too long since you brought Vulpix!" She said, lifting Vulpix up, not even noticing Tyeler.

Ryoku tugged Tyeler into the room and said, "This is Tyeler. His mother and him just moved in a few doors down." She smiled at him, almost encourging him to speak.

Juniper examined him. "You know... You look familiar..." Tyeler glanced away. "I don't see how..." He muttered, the first words coming out of his mouth being low and cold-sounding. Juniper smiled. "I know... You look just like-" "No one..." He said, looking up at her, finally looking someone int he eye since he'd arrived. "I look like no one... But me..." Juniper raised an eyebrow. "Fine.... Fine... Um... Well, It's still nice to meet you." Tyeler nodded slowly. "...... Likewise."

Ryoku looked at him in surprise but then quickly tried to change the subject. "So did you need something Professor Juniper?"

She nodded, picking Vulpix up, cooing at her and petting her. "So cute... Well, the others out back need some excercise. Why not go out and visit them until I have more work?"

Ryoku nodded and looked over at Tyeler, gestering him to come into the back. She smiled when she looked at all the pokemon that the Professor had in her back yard.

A small smile slowly formed on his lips as he saw all the pokemon. Not being from Unova, most of these were very new to them. One that caught his eye was a little Oshawat playing in the background with a small shell. "Why's that one playing alone?..." Tyeler asked, glancing over at Ryoku.

Ryoku looked over at the Oshawat and a sad look appeared on her face. "He's an abandoned Pokemon. We found him one day roaming a nearby town. Something tells me that he was bullied by other Pokemon and the trainer didn't know what to do so they just released him in the city and moved on.

Tyeler's eyes softened a bit as he looked at Oshawat. "Abandoned..." He nodded slowly. "I'm gonna go see it for a bit..." He said, slowly moving past the massive group of pokemon that wanted to play, and headed to the Oshawat.

Ryoku watched Tyeler go over to the Oshawat as she played with the other pokemon. The Oshawat stilled as Tyeler came close and seemed to shy away from him.

Tyeler smiled gently down at Oshawat, the first one he'd shown since he saw Vulpix. "Hi there..." He muttered, moving down on his knees to seem less threatening. "You seem pretty bored and lonely here alone..." He said, slowly holding a hand out. "Why not play with me?..." Oshawat sniffed at his hand for a moment then stared up at him. A few moments later, it unleashed a massive Water Gun attack at him, sending him sliding back along the ground, gurgling on the water that smacked into his face.

Tyeler sat up slowly, spitting out the water in his mouth. Oshawat appeared to be chuckling at this as he turned away and continued to play with his shell. "Yeah, I'm fine..."

Tyeler shook his head, simply removing his soaked shirt. "I'm fine, thanks..." He said, looking at the Oshawat. He slowly moved closer to it again. Oshawat turned, surprised to see him still coming to it.

Tyeler slowly reached into his pocket, pulling out a small poke-snack. Oshawat stood straight up, drooling a bit as he saw it. "Yeah, looks good, right?.. I'm a nice guy..."

Tyeler smiled gently as Oshawat seemed to warm up to him. He moved to pet it but pulled his hand back as he heard breaking glass. "NO! LET GO OF THOSE!" Tyeler shot up, sprinting back inside as Professor Juniper screamed.

Ryoku gasped when there was commotion and ran back to the lab. Vupix was whining at Professor Juniper as Ryoku ran to her side. "Professor? What happened?"

A man in a strange outfit suddenly grabbed hold of Vulpix as Ryoku entered the room. Another grabbed her from behind. "I got one of them!" The first said, struggling to hold Vulpix. Tyeler growled as he entered, glaring at the 2 strangers. "What the hell are you doing here!?"

Ryoku screamed and struggled against the man. She could hear Vupix bark and yipe and suddenly, she yelled, "Vulpix! Ember!" Vupix barely let out a sneeze as flames escaped her and landed on the man's arm.

The man yelled, dropping Vulpix and slapping his arms to put out the fire. As soon as he dropped Vulpix, Tyeler ran up and rammed his fist into his jaw, knocking him out cold. The other one tossed Ryoku aside, pulling out a Pokeball. "Go, Krookodile!" He tossed a Pokeball, a krookodile forming in a flash of light. It growled, slowly advancing towards Tyeler and Ryoku. The man grinned down at them. "Nothing shall stand in the way of Team Plasma." "OSHA....................." Krookodile turned. 'WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!' A long stream of water suddenly rammed into it, slamming it into the wall. It hissed, slowly trying to bring itsself to it's feet. Tyeler's eyes widened. "Oshawat!" Oshawat scurried to Ryoku and Tyeler, soon joined by Vulpix.
