As a rule I don't usually do a trip report cause I rarely do anything anyone would want to hear about! But, this trip was special cause I got to meet some folks I had only talked to on the net.

We travelled on US Airways and had an uneventful trip there and back. The very first thing we always do is go to the liquor store as soon as we pick up the car. We use the Beverage Depot on Queen's Highway (on the same side of the street as Solomon's, just not that far down). The lovely lady working that day remembered us as she always does and treated us to an anniversary Kalik glass each! We got a couple cases of Kalik and went to the beach at Xanadu! I always get my hair braided because I like to swim and it makes my life so much easier! My friend Vivian was there at the beach and got me all braided up my first afternoon there!! After the braiding we were late for checking in so we went directly to the resort. We stayed at the Ritz in the Coral building. We had a studio with the lovely balcony!! We met Diane, Tom and SomerTN when we arrived. We had a lovely evening swim in the pool and called it an early night! Travelling really tires me out in my older age!! We spent the next three days hanging out at the ocean and the pool! We had gorgeous weather and I got a great tan-SPF and all! Friday evening we went to check out the action at the Lofty Fig where we were hoping to run into Dudley. They had some food set up for happy hour and had jazz planned for the night. Didn't get really welcome vibes there and moved on. We really messed up on Saturday cause we were supposed to join in the festivities at the BASRA event. We were just so relaxed and enjoying ourselves that we couldn't get up and leave!! We did get it together to go to Bikini Bottom that night and had a great time! I met Deb (a/k/a deedeeschmidt) there and enjoyed getting to know her!! Can't wait to see Deb next time!!! We also visited with Tom, Diane, UncleBennie, Dianne, Barbara, Erica and her friend, Janice and Les. I had cracked conch that evening but I wasn't impressed. Maybe it was just a bad night or maybe I am just spoiled, but I think the cracked conch at Pepper Pot is better and more for the $$!! But really when I bring conch home my hubby knows how to make the best!! I enjoyed the band and watching everyone dance!! It was a fun evening! I even got to check out the new sea wall out there!! The next couple of days were cloudy and rainy on and off. We were lucky enough to have experienced Fay from a distance. We did lose electricity many times but we didn't really let it bother us!!! Tuesday was our good friends', Tom and Diane, anniversary and we had dinner for them at our room. I had to fight with the electricity all day, cooking as the power was available. But it all worked out and we had a lovely evening with wonderful company! I visited with my inlaws for a while and spent most of the time relaxing right at the Ritz. This was one of the most relaxing trips I have had in along time and I really needed it!! All in all the trip was a success and I look forward to the next!!! Sorry if you thought you were going to read something exciting and I bored you!!
