Just got back from Lucaya spent 8 days there. got in 7 days of diving with UNEXSO the Ocean is 79/80 deg and the air temp was in the high 70's to low 80's very pleasant. we had dinner at Red Beards one night it is a OK place it was pretty busy and the food was good. after dinner we went over to the market place around 8:30 for some ice cream and it was deserted there was a DJ playing some music and 2 bars were open, around 40 people in the area half of them using the market places's Y5 for their computers. I was saddened by the closing of Shenanigan's and Island Java. Steve who used to play at the Sand Bar has left the Island no one seem to know if he was comming back. There seemed to be a cruise ship in every day which flooded the Market place with people and seemed to keep the water sport guys busy. Anyway's I have always liked Lucaya and hope things pick up there there. seems like airlines are starting to go there again sure would like to see it thrive like the Mid 90's again. some nights the Casino was Quite busy and other nights it was deserted.
