The funeral scheduled for Sunday has been canceled and will be re-scheduled

Phillip Wayne Grey of the Stone Creek Community in Pennington Gap, Va. was born in Harlan, Ky. on Tuesday, January 20, 19 and passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tn. at the age of 40 years. He had been a resident of Lee County, Va. for about 35 years.

Philliip had retired as a brick mason, was in the National Guard and of the Jewish Faith. He was preceded in death by his father Wayne Johnson, paternal grandparents Cliston and Ada Johnson, maternal grandparents Felix and Barbara Ellen Grey, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Phillip is survived by his wife Cynthia Ann McPherson Grey, mother and father Charlotte and Freddie Martin of the Stone Creek

Community, one son Brandon Smith of the home, two daughters Cera Kimberlin of Stickleyville, Va. and Melinda Davis of Pennington Gap, Va., three grandchildren Haley, Matthew and Ryan, two step-children Daniel Vaughn and his children Mckinzie and Josh and Christy Vaughn and her children Devin Brooks and Courtney Vaughn, two brothers Jim Grey of Cawood, Ky. and Reno Johnson of Cumberland, Ky., one sister Susie Johnson of Cumberland, Ky. and several aunts, uncles and other relatives.

The funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Sunday, April 11, 2010 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, Va. with Rev. Paul Davis, Jr., Rev. Danny Parsons and Rev. Roy Webb officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Sunday until the time of the service.

The graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Monday at the Wilson Family Cemetery in Bledsoe, Ky.

The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:00 noon Monday to go to the cemetery.
