Posted February 3rd, 2010 01:20 PM IP It occurred to me while posting in Ogee's "This Day In History" thread to recognize "National Start a Business Month", that there is some dumb recogntion for every day of the year... I figured this might be a good place to track them for 2010.
For example... February 3rd is "National Women and Girls In Sports Day".
Uh...
Maybe I'll just wait until tomorrow to really get going on this. What's up with that?

I hate to see beer go to waste - is there an "after" picture of when they accidently spilled the beer all over themselves, then fall all over each other, slipping and sliding against each other, while inadvertently tearing each other's clothes off trying to get up?
Just wondering Clueless in Carver County

Posted February 4th, 2010 07:21 AM IP Today is a day to celebrate one of PB's favorite entertainers. He's a man that tickled the ivories (as well as other things) like few could. He was truly a great American.
His style was unmatched. His charisma was electric. His shoes were sparkly.
On this day 23 years years ago, he left this world and started anew in a fabulous afterlife.
That's why February 4th is Liberace Day!
 What's up with that?

Absoboofinglootly
Still had to pay tuition youngster. No such thing as full rides unless you are a national team player. Though I did appreciate the extra dollars, we actually would have gotten more from academic scholarships if a certain someone would have chosen a D3 school.
Don't get me wrong - I'm all for Title IX to a point. But it has corrected the situation that had existed. Now it is turning some parents into scholarship hounds with unreal expectations. I see it on the U16 girls premier team I coach.
but I am off the subject matter now

Posted February 4th, 2010 02:28 PM IP Today is........If I were Govs; Get my brakes checked on the Prius day.
Quote: WASHINGTON - In the latest in a string of recalls, Toyota announced it would recall 270,000 of the popular hybrid car Prius in the U.S. and Japan, the Nikkei News Service reported.
The Transportation Department had opened an investigation Thursday into brake problems in the 2010 Prius, the latest in a series of safety troubles at Toyota that have confused drivers and strained the Japanese automaker's relationship with U.S. regulators. |
