Posted May 31st, 2011 07:37 AM IP Sounds like the Thrashers relocation to Winnipeg will be announced today. Anybody know what the timetable is for realignment now? I assume they'll have to stay in the east for one season anyway, right?
For 2012-2013, I would think (hope) they'd look to place them in the Northwest, send Columbus to the East, and move Minnesota to the Central... RIGHT?!
The Jets/Moose won't stay in the East long, and there will have to be some fallout somewhere. What's up with that?

Although Columbus is slightly further East, what about moving Nashville to the East since they are closer geographically to the majority of the Southeast Division which will be losing Atlanta. That will still create room for Minnesota in the Central. In either event, I see Minnesota being brought together with Detroit and Chicago.
