GRG Lightning 5 White Bear Lake 4 OT
GRG blows 4-2 lead late in the 3rd after WBL totally dominates the period. WBL dominates the OT as well but GRG scores on their first shot of OT to win it. Morgan Illikainen with GWG.
Gallop with a nice game as well.
GRG JV gets ***** slapped 8-0 by WBL. Bright spot for junior Lightning was the play of 8th grade goalie Helmbrecht who came in early in the second with the game at 8-0 and was a brick wall. Nice job by the little tender that could.

Left after JV game but got a call that GRG was tied with Roseville after 1. 0-0 despite GRG being outshot 24-2. Apparently the defense is :missing:
FYI JV played worse than last night if that's possible:sick: The only thing that kept it to a 3-0 final was the little tender that could. Helmbrecht played outstanding again.

Final from the IRA - Roseville 3 GRG 2. Final reported shots were 47 - 16. Back to the drawing board for the Lightning after a tough opening weekend.
