Its going to be an interesting year with so many question marks.

Bullpen- I think Capps is the only question we don't have here.

Morneau - Still hasn't swung a bat

Rotation - whose the odd man out

Ishi-Nishi - Where will he play? This is the Major Leaues now...

Mauer - Did he do anything in the off season to remove that "warning track" middle name?

Meetings; None of us is as dumb as all of us.

If you listen to his interviews during TwinsFest, it sounds like he doesn't have much interest in that. It was a whole lot of "Target Field is what it is, so we have to learn to play within it. There's a lot of gap room out there".

Personally, I'm fine with it if he keeps his average in that .320-.330 area and his OBP north of .400. The bigger key is getting Denard to become a legit lead off guy. As long as he gets on base, I'm fine with Mauer hitting gaps and driving him around that way. I know you don't typically pay a guy $23M to do that, but that's obviously a unique signing, and a lot of it is for PR. He's not Pujols - never will be. Just produce how you can.

Denard will be a big part of their success though. If you'll recall, he was drawing walks like crazy in April last year, and was hovering around a .220 average through April, but his OBP was somewhere in the .400's I think. Once he tailed off, so did the offense. He's got to be more consistent. That, or we hope that Nishioka adjusts quickly and can take over the leadoff spot.

Deal with it.

Yes Bader and OGEE have been unusually interested in gay activity lately, but they are not soccer fans.

After a whole Fall and Winter of Humiliation with football, this is good news. 10 days.

It could be the best year our heroes have had if:

1. Morneau is healthy

2. Nathan is OK/not 100% but OK

3. Spahn, Mauer and Cuddyer get back to top form

4. The Japanese guy can play

5. Delmon repeats

I think that all of that can happen easy.

Supposedly, Joe Nathan was hitting 91 MPH the other day in a bullpen session, which is actually higher than what he normally is this time of year. We'll see what happens when he faces a few batters in a couple of weeks, but this is... interesting.

I saw him playing catch in the outfield in September, and he sure looked loose then. He obviously wasn't pitching, but he was slinging it around pretty good, and playing some long toss so there was a fair amount of strength in the wing at that point. If he starts the year at even 90%, that would be a huge help.

Deal with it.

Was he promoting any new commercials with his Mom this year?

The Twins and outfielder Delmon Young have agreed to a one-year, $5.375 million deal to avoid arbitration. Young was the Twins' last remaining arbitration case.

Wow. Sounds like 158 games will be on tv this year.

If I wasn't sitting at Target Field for most of them, I'd be excited about this news.

Deal with it.
