Posted February 16th, 2011 12:20 PM IP The Liriano thing is well, as Govs would say, interesting.
He is a free agent next year and the Twins apparently would deal him for the right offer.
But I think they made a big mistake with GMtana when they traded him and I hope they dont repeat it.
Even though we proved here that, because of Livantana, saying Adios Santana was not a loss, it still was a dumb trade.
The Twins maybe could have won a world series with Santana but instead they just had to do a trade to "get something for him".
Well, they didn't get ship for him and they lost game 163 instead of making a deep playoff run.
Play out the season with Liriano. He is the best starter on the staff.

Wow. Sounds like 158 games will be on tv this year.
If I wasn't sitting at Target Field for most of them, I'd be excited about this news.

Posted February 17th, 2011 08:10 AM IP Things are already looking up for the Twins in Central this year...
Miguel Cabrera was busted for DUI last night. He was taking pulls off a bottle of scotch in front of the fuzz while in the car and pulled over.
I have a hunch the Tigers are going to throw him back in rehab. The guy has problems. What's up with that?

Posted February 17th, 2011 11:24 AM IP I dont know if the Tigers are a threat but if Cabrera isnt right, they are in trouble.
It sounds like Morneau and Nathan are doing better than I thought and as well as could be expected.
If Nathan and Capps can rule the 8th and 9th, the bullpen is that much deeper.
And if Morneau is back to 100%, they are in business.

Based on the way you were flailing away at the plate, you would think he was pitching against you.
