He was 1-2 with a 5.24 ERA against the Twins last year...

Here's Gardy's lineup for today. See if you can spot a couple of head scratchers against one of the worst right handed pitchers in the AL:

Span
Nishioka
Young
Morneau
Kubel
Cuddyer
Valencia
Butera
Casilla

What's up with that?

Did the rain out count as a day off for Mauer or are they gonna sit him against Burnett too?

Nishioka = fractured fibula = DL.

Awesome.

Bring on Matt Tolbert and Luke Hughes, I guess.

What's up with that?

Bad k luck for Yoshi and our Twins. Even this April is plainly upset about it

But we have capable backups and Yoshi should be back in a featured month yet to be determined.

Open at home today. Wish I could be there but not this year.

April...lets have no more bad breaks.

A little Shanty admonishment in this thread and others seem to go a long way...

6 pm start tonight, why no day baseball now that they are outside and all the tickets are sold. I understand playing later to get a better crowd, but that is a moot point nowadays. Go with a noon start in April.

So Bert says "My wife just came in the booth wearing a new pair of jeans with "T.C." on the pocket".

Dick deadpans "The letters or the mascot"?

The three sports frustrations

1. Putrid Twins hitting
2. A Viking defense that can't get off field on 3rd down
3. Undersized, undertalented Gopher football players
