Posted July 12th, 2011 09:21 AM IP Yes, here we are at the All Star break and our boys have gone from Mathematically Eliminated in May to Jumpin Ship in June and now they are Ridin High Through July.
The heat of the summer is upon us like the heat of what promises to be another sizziing battle for the Central title.
As the Twins get well and right, they should be right in the thick of it thru Hot August Nights and a September to Remember.
July.....still a lot of fireworks to see.

Posted July 12th, 2011 02:26 PM IP I heard on the radio today that if the Tigers can achieve at just "all square" from here on out the White Sox would need to go 42-30 the rest of the way to catch them. Our team of no-names trails the Sox by just a smidge so reasonable reasoning indicates the Twins must play around +10-14 from here on out to just have a shot. I dunno if these no-names are up to it. Cuddyer can't do it all by himself.
Wake me up when the season resumes.

Posted July 15th, 2011 09:22 AM IP What the Plouffe?
Yes, that ought to wake up old Rip Van Shanty.
Our boys continue to Ride High Through July.
Another big win in July, this months featured month, which is starting out just like last month which was June.
6 back of CLE and playin good ball.
Still no sign of Kubel nor Span and Morneau is out until next month's featured month which is August. Amazing that our Twins remmain so competetive even in the face of what has to be the worst year of injuries in their history.
July.....scorching hot.

Posted July 18th, 2011 09:08 AM IP Yes, our boys are Ridin High Through July as they boldly climb to within 5 games of the lead.
But now Baker goes down and is on the DL. Incredible.
I doubt we will se Capps in the closer role again.
CLE is in town and wins are importanat vs them.
Hit the Plouffen ball this week and win some series to creep within 3 or so.
I walked 18 yesterday AM. Drenched from head to foot in sweat.
It will be tough on our boys today but its July.....and it's steamin hot.

Posted July 20th, 2011 08:50 AM IP Yes, after a rough day on Monday, our heros come back to get a late inning win last night on a hot one inJuly
pb and family were in the house as our pledge to attend one game every featured month is kept......along with our pledge to not watch some stupid dork sport like soccer where the world championship is decided by penalty kicks.
What the Plouffe?
Anyways, the Twins need to get Kubel and Span and Morneau back because it would help them to hit the Plouffen ball which they are not doing.
Hit The Plouffen Ball and we'll be Ridin High Through July.
July.......it's not the heat, it's the humididty.

A smart lad like ERE would probably be able to tell you that the correct term for this event is called kicks from the mark. Penalty kicks are only taken when certain fouls are committed against the attacking team in the penalty area during the normal course of play, extra time, and stoppage time.
After playing 120 minutes it is a fair and an entertaining way for top quality athletes that have basically been running 7-9 miles with half the distance done at top speed, and with few breaks, to bring a conclusion to the game.
What the Plouffe! If you don't want the game to go to kicks from the mark, make use of the 12 shots and get a few of them on net and maybe 1-2 more into the onion bag.
Joe Mamma Mauer can barely play catcher in one of the laziest sports invented, he would last 10 minutes on the pitch. Clueless in Carver County

Posted July 21st, 2011 08:46 AM IP Capps is out, Nathan is back....... and has had three successful landings. They seem to get just enough offense and are 5-3 since the semester break. The Central IS a 4 team race and this is what happens when "81-81 may get it done".
Detoilet rolls in for four. What will it be, gain/give four, gain/give two, stay level.
Don't like their chances in the game Verlander starts. Maybe Leyland will take him out in the 8th the way Acta took out Masterson. Could the be so lucky twice in the same week?

Posted July 21st, 2011 09:04 AM IP Yes , our boys win another one in July vs CLE to split the series after a rough start.
Bring on the Tigers starting tonight as our heros get no rest this month in the heat of the summer in July.
Win 3 of 4 to keep Ridin' High Through July.
I suppose they should play home run derby for the win if its tied after 9 like the dumb dorky Plouffen soccer dorks do.
July......it's like a heat wave.

Missed Woodstock.
Missed game 7's in both '87 and '91. (At game 6 of both)
I was there for THAT game though. He double pumped his wind-ups. It was hilarious. Finleys boy's were decent about the spectacle of the whole affair.

You know it's bad when Cuddyer pitches better than half the guys in the bullpen. And better than Frankie and Nick in the last two starts. There is no bad whiskey. There are only some whiskeys that aren't as good as others. --Raymond Chandler

Posted July 26th, 2011 06:05 PM IP With his 88mph fastball, Cuddyer has now blown passed Nick Punto as the franchise's most versatile player.
Twins salvaged the final 2 vs. CLE to force a series draw, lost 3 of 4 to DET in convincing fashion and just allowed a team to go 3-3-3-5-4 to start a game, something that never, ever happens, and have lost virtually no ground in the standings. I can't see how they don't win this division in the end. With that being said, this has all the ingredients to be an epically bad road trip.
