Posted April 29th, 2008 06:18 AM IP I've had a desire for some time to have my hair cut and decided on a DIY job at home with an electric hair trimmer. Put the trimmer at the lowest setting and clipped the hair off. Lots of fun. Economical. Can't go wrong! Best solution for those with dandruff, too. Distilled barley-wine

And walk the crooked line

Posted April 30th, 2008 01:21 AM IP I hate thinking about hair. Sometimes I go six months between haircuts. My head is shaggy most of the time. It is unwilling to adjust to styling, so it barely matters what I would try to do with it anyway, even if I tried to do much of anything (which I don't).
I rank hairstyles right down there with clothing styles and cars in terms of importance to me: very, very low. Well below music, drinking, eating, sleeping, playing or watching basketball, reading or even twiddling my thumbs. In fact, I don't even like when people compliment my hair (which inexplicably happens from time to time, but not often) because I have a hard time hiding what will either be disinterest or disdain for the topic; instead I toss off a quick but obviously half-assed "thanks" and hope they leave. don't try so hard.

Posted April 30th, 2008 02:15 AM IP I do like Donal. I just get a clipper and cut the lot off every couple of weeks, and in summer I shave the rest.
If i let it grow out I look about 70!
Well, that's what my wife says anyway....

Posted April 30th, 2008 03:52 PM IP Mine is back to its skillfull blend of number 4, number 3 in the middle, and number 2 at the back -I got fed up with people saying "you've got taller' or "Oooh, aren't you grey?" - Well what did they expect really?!!
having said this, i hope my barber is there at his shop this week or my hair is doomed

Posted May 12th, 2008 06:19 PM IP I'm bald, whatever I have left I let grow till my wife is sick of seeing it, she then proceeds to give me a haircut. This works for me. It's also why I ignore her when she says I should go to the barber for a proper haircut.

Posted July 21st, 2008 08:59 PM IP Just got my summer 'brushcut'. Lucy [the wife] did it in the back yard yesterday morning. Went from a full length beard and hair 1/2 way down my back to the 'look' on the cover of the reissued Pacific Ocean Blue cd. I sweat LOTS when exercising. Supposedly a VERY healthy thing. So when I went golfing, particularly in this hotter weather...my hair'd be SOAKED and it took hours for it to dry.
THIS is better. Need the hair and beard in the winter though. Keeps me warm[er].

Posted July 22nd, 2008 03:14 PM IP I guess there's one in loads of towns Mike...unless one lives in the desert. So this new Yankee Stadium...It's gonna be something I guess? Sorry to see the Babe's old stompin' grounds go. But you know...when they ceased using Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto...in favour of the new Air Canada Centre...well it turned out to be WAY nicer. More leg room for starters.
Sometimes progress makes sense. Music. Gotta HAVE It. And LOTS of It

Posted July 24th, 2008 02:40 AM IP I'm rather ambivalent on this. On Monday I'm going to Yankee Stadium with my son for one last time, it's a great place. They have been drawing over 4 million fans there for the last 4-5 years so it's not like they really needed a new stadium. But a new stadium will guarantee them more income from luxury boxes, higher prices for tickets, and they'll be able to have a enclosed area with bars and restaurants too. This is going to hurt the neighborhood businesses that have been serving Yankee Stadium for over 80 years. I give them credit in that the new stadium will look some what like Yankee Stadium did before the renovations of the 70's, but at the expence of valuable park land. My first time at Yanee Stadium was in 62, I'm going to miss it.

Posted October 7th, 2008 11:43 PM IP Ever wonder why this thread is in the artwork forum? Are our haircuts art? Mine sucks, pretty much. Half-assed at best. don't try so hard.

Posted October 9th, 2008 02:27 AM IP Haven't had a trim since I did the head-shave on April 25th 2008. The hair is still quite good, so I'll leave it for a while. Distilled barley-wine
