Posted January 1st, 2009 07:19 PM IP I had shared this as a demo a few months ago. Today I finished it: new bass, (minimal) electric guitar, lead and harmony vocal, and wall-o-vocals. It tells a true story. It's sad. Find it at my myspace. I'd love to hear whether you like it. don't try so hard.

Posted January 1st, 2009 07:28 PM IP Luther, did your brother come out of this ok in the end ? Please say yes.
I think it's a beautiful song, really heartfelt. And I know I have said this before but you have a real way with words. "And for everyone who thinks that life is just a game..do you like the part you' re playing?" Arthur Lee

Posted January 1st, 2009 07:31 PM IP He did. This (20 years later! Wow...) did cause him short-term memory issues that he still deals with to this day, but he came out of the coma after about a week. He was in the hospital for about a month or six weeks, and of course still in for a lot of therapy for a while thereafter, but ended up fine mentally and physically. Funny thing, he ended up becoming a minister. That's no coincidence. (Personally I credit my dad, who was there and as a cop knows CPR, and the doctors. But hey, whatever did the trick.) don't try so hard.

Posted January 1st, 2009 07:37 PM IP I'm glad he came out of it ok for the most part. Good thing your dad was on the scene. "And for everyone who thinks that life is just a game..do you like the part you' re playing?" Arthur Lee
