Posted February 1st, 2011 07:51 AM IP hey y'all, pray for myself and my daughter. She is turning the big 13 soon and she thinks she is 33. Please ask a couple prayers for her. She is taxing my wisdom to the extreme.
Thank you all. Semper fidelis Deus

Posted February 1st, 2011 08:50 AM IP I know how you feel. One of mine is 13, going on 33. lol. He is displaying his new found knowledge, that he knows more than me now. Well, he thinks he does. lol
I will be praying for both of us.

Posted February 1st, 2011 12:27 PM IP LOL!!!! Been there, done that...three times!. It is totally exhausting trying to keep one step ahead of them at that age. They will test the boundries you have set in place (for their own good, mind you) again and again and AGAIN! Yes, in their eyes, you will become dumber and dumber until a box of rocks is smarter! But there does come an age (usually when they get out on their own a little) where you become smarter and smarter. Even if they don't tell you, they will come to you for advise and you'll know.
But this age does not come without it's rewards. God knew that if there wasn't a bright spot, most parents would just give up! Nothing is as satifying as seeing your child, the product of your love for your mate, accomplish something good. If you thought their first step or first word was amazing, just wait!
Prayers out for your daughter, density. But more prayers for you and your wife. You're gonna need it! Central Illinois
