Well shoot!!! I was hoping and praying for better. Just a thought, denstiy, but would it be possible to get your dad down somewhere in the lower 48 for a second or third opinion? Maybe somewhere close to you so you can keep an eye out for him and the vacationers can be evicted? Your mom has her hands full right now. She doesn't need to be playing host to some people who are too dense and rude to get a hotel room.

I didn't realize how absolutely HUGE Alaska was until I took a trip up there. Just the logistics of getting from point A to point B could be mind boggling. Bring him south, if he can handle the trip. And maybe find out from the doctor who he believes has the expertise in this matter. Maybe someone in your AO and make the call or have the doctor make the call on your behalf and see if you can get dad in there. My feeling is either the tumor is operable or it's not. Answers (and prayers) are what you all need now.

Hope you are hanging in there Density. May the Lord continue to watch over you and your family.

Dad is down to 153 lbs. He can not get enough food into his stomach to maintain his weight, because the mass is so large. He was in Seatle yesterday for one procedure on his knee(different problem) and on monday he will be in anchorage for the pre-op and the surgery will be scheduled then. He has already gone in for surgery once but when the doctor started he had found the mass had grown larger than they had expected and put the surgery out of his capabilities.

Dad and mom leave for Anchorage today for the second surgery. Please send up some additional prayers for him. This surgery will be at least 7 hours long, mom said.
Thank you all

They are home from Anchorage. Dad has to take a pill everyday from now on to stop the tumors from coming back. It is a very rare type of tumor. 12 in 300 million get them is what I was told. I'm still trying ti get the name from Mom so I can look it up. Dad is going to be laid up for a few weeks but he seems to be doing OK, mom says.

Thank you all for your prayers and words or friendship. I cherish them

Good to hear that your dad is still hanging in there. Hopefully he will be able to get the calories and nutrition he needs to recover and kick it.

Dad called today, he thanks you all for your time in prayer. He was eating jello and watching the Waltons on TV. I remember how he hates jello. When I was a kid I remember him refusing to eat jello when Mom made it. This is the Lord's way of telling him he should have eaten the jello when Mom made it. I can just see him sitting there making faces while eating the stuff.

Thank y'all for being in prayer for me and mine.....

The battle has never changed from the beginning. It is "the seed of the serpent against the seed of the woman.” The battle is over truth, but not political truth, it is over eternal truth. Unfortunately, most people are unaware of this even though their Bible tells them that they “wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of the world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:12
