I was trained on these machines 6 months ago but we haven't brought one in yet. I'm just curious about how they've been performing in the field. I see an awful lot of Tech Tips for these, which makes me nervous. But for me, the opinion of other techs is important. Any feedback from those who are working on these in the field would be appreciated.

Great machines. Only weak spot is the fuser & fuser drive. Lots of upgraded parts and bulletins seem to be helping a lot. The fuser issues jump out because the rest of the machine is a great job. They work best in high volume use. short run stop-start is very hard on the fuser drive. I have one customer with 1.1 million on a 5520 and it's been great. Do the proper maintenance on schedule and it will be good to you.

Agree with Roy, fuser and drive unit are weak, several machines also seem to pull the color devs, which cost big $$$
