Posted February 13th, 2012 06:57 PM IP OK!
So for the sake of keeping the series growing into the 2013 season we've decided to host the Event at the Ranch for a 2nd round this season.
I will be posting the schedule soon as it will be very exciting and interesting...
PLUS we will have access to the water hole and will have lots of extra games and water activities for all our summer goers!
PERFECT way to celebrate Independence Day weekend! USDR EVENT COORDINATOR

Posted February 14th, 2012 08:13 AM IP Round 2 and 4
Round 3 is still Ridgecrest - DirtDiggers camp
The original plan was to go all the way to Parker AZ but realistically expecting our ridership to make that trek would be unfair to those that race on a budget as it is. Plus we're also on a budget and if we get less then a minimal amount of riders we would be in terrible shape. USDR EVENT COORDINATOR

Posted February 23rd, 2012 08:59 AM IP It will be at Anza.
How do you know Gorman will be cooler over summer? Have you been there in July? Or to Anza in July? I've been at both and they're about the same, especially as the altitudes are almost equal.
While laying course for our Qualifier in September Temecula and Lake Elsinore was almost always in the 100's Anza was in the high 80's. While working our events in May its almost always in the 100s in Gorman.
Not to mention the freedom that we have at Anza to host an absolutely amazing event AND there are 2 giant water holes on the property... Nothing like that at Gorman. USDR EVENT COORDINATOR

Posted February 24th, 2012 03:04 PM IP the July Round will be 2 - 1 hour races (for Race 2, 2 3o min races for race 1) in the day with the heat index around 95. it'll all be laid out in the near future.
I personally think the race 1 should be 2 hours and race 2 should be 3 hours! but the way USDR is formatted and has been ran through the years is a medium length race and not a LONG or short race. USDR EVENT COORDINATOR

Posted February 24th, 2012 03:53 PM IP Heck yeah I'm game for a three hour race. How about for ANZA if expected temp is below XX then it is longer. Ok so the way I read the above if correct race 2 is going to be two-30 min races? Im not trying to jump the gun because you have two other rounds to think about first. Better yet I can take it offline so the you can delet these as so that they wont distract or confuse others. ARRGG Racing

Posted February 24th, 2012 04:14 PM IP i think the way he meant it was 2-1 hour races for race 2, then 2-30 minute races for race 1. and IMO the races should be longer than 1 hour for race 1, then 2 hours for race 2. even by a half hour to just try it out Dylan Willoughby
