Posted March 7th, 2011 05:36 PM IP Well the course sounded fast and fun. Unfortunately I only got to run the first section. I got lots of play ridin in Saturday and was good and warned up ready to get my transfer ride on Sunday. I got the exact starting spot on the line that I wanted. Flag dropped and had an awesome whole shot. 5th gear wide open on the right side single track. At around 50-60 mph I change over to the main trail. When I walked it I saw a gotcha bump in the weeds, I then hit it. That's wasn't the killer though.....I gathered it up but was now set to cross the main trail wools at an angle. That sent me swapin. It swapped so bad I swear it was banging the steering stops. Over the bars I went. I saw dirt but don't remember the impact. Rodney stooped for me till help arrived. He said I was out for 5min or so. Next I remember was being slid on the back board. Was kind of in and out all the way to the hospital. Which is where I still am now. Broken collar bone, ribs, bubble near my lung, and hurt ego. I now have my first dnf.
