I decided to ride a new crf250r for 2011 and it met and even exceeded my expectations!Anyway I lined up for race 1 in my new class S2 exp. not really knowing what to expect since I only had maybe a couple of hours total on the bike.Since the senior class is all engine sizes I wasnt expecting to grab the holeshot but I did.I was third at the top of the first hill with John Sides leading and he was quickly gapping us.I was able to finally get by second and get some good rythem going and pick up the pace.Coming into the scoreing shoot at the end of the second lap I found myself on Sides rear wheel and thought cool I might have a shot at the OA.As we got on the gas heading out I went to the inside and passed Sides, but he poured on the power of his AS RACING 450 and got back by me just before the uphill.We battled for alot of the third lap but I was spent and just couldnt make the passes so I wound up second.Had a blast racing with Sides and big congratulations to John Sides on his win! A big thanks to AS RACING for all the support and hard work in helping to get the new bike ready in a short amount of time.Also to the entire AS Race Team for pit support and our whole crew of friends and family,could'nt do it without all of you.Want to give a quick shout out to DirtDigits for getting backgrounds/graphics done for round 1 in a short time Thanks.
