Posted June 18th, 2010 06:00 PM IPDoes anyone know for sure if the Prairie Dogs night race is in Barstow or Johnson Valley? The D37 calendar says Stoddard, but the flyer says JV. I'd like to go watch, but don't want to be in the wrong place.
Is anyone else going to be there?

Me and Ryan teaming up

and tons of others!!!!
if you want to come and watch/work another one the Grand Finale, VCMC night race is at Bessimer Mine Rd. July 17th. its going to be EPIC!!!USDR EVENT COORDINATOR
JCR Honda's Kendall Norman and Quinn Cody, fresh off the Baja 500 Overall win, came out and stomped everyone and took 1st overall by over 10 minutes. They even did a tire change for practice!
PK Racing's Justin Imhof took 2nd overall on his KTM 250 as an Ironman and was an animal like always.
Ryan and I held on to 3rd overall untill the 4th lap when I had a great battle with Johnny Campbell. He ended up gettin by me and pulling about 45-50 seconds but I definitely cant complain about that!
JCR Honda's Johnny Campbell and Colton Udall took 3rd overall just under 15 minutes behind Justin.
We ran 4th for the rest of the night until 1 mile from the finish the battery died on the bike light!!! The helmet light had died about 10 minutes earlier. This was seriously the scariest thing that has ever ever happened to me! Hauling along and then pitch black! I waited for a friend of mine that I had lapped a few miles earlier and he followed me in to the finish.
We only lost one spot to the Blas Racing team of Morgan Crawford and Kevin Dejongh and ended up 5th overall...
Not to shabby!
The course was awesome! lots of tech and fast valley runs. The markings were really good the first few laps then they all got knocked down but the trail was burnt in so it wasnt a problem.
Big thanks to www.cyclopsmotorsports.com for letting us use the light and a big thanks to JCR Honda for letting us pit with them and borrow some of their lights as we only had one dinky one... USDR EVENT COORDINATOR
Posted June 20th, 2010 10:56 PM IP Congrats Erek!!! I wanted to make this race too but wasn't in my cards this time. I will be at VCMC though. Still a little fine tuning to do to the helmet light. How long of a race and what format is it going to be?I have a 2 hr pack for the helmet light and a rip cord to run off the bike. Wondering which way to go?You only live once. Posted June 21st, 2010 07:16 AM IPI would go with the Rip cord and have the battery on you just in case...
Its going to be 4 hours +1 lap now... expacially since our lap times will probably be 40+ minutes anyway so you'll get 5 hours in!USDR EVENT COORDINATOR

Posted June 21st, 2010 03:45 PM IPIt looked like you wanted to come by. Just come by. Kendall, Quinn, Johnny and all those guys are just dudes that happen to be fast. Just say whats up like you'd say to any one or do like I did when I met Greg Godfrey from Nitro circus and walk up shake his hand real hard and say "I seen you on T.V." and then walk away like nothing happened...
