Ryan and I will be racing the Parker 250 this year in the 4-stroke Pro class and if all goes well we will be racing the whole BITD Silver State Series and chasing after the 4-stroke Pro title on an 08' KX450F. So keep an eye out for F51!!! I'll have pictures up as soon as the bike is ready!

congrats to Dave Pearson for winning the overall by 8 minutes!!!
congrats to Dylan Lane and Jeff Truelove on 2nd overall and Open Pro
congrats to Anthony Modica and Jason Trubey on 3rd overall and 1st 4-stroke PRO!!!

we have no idea how we did. they had us buy transponders for instant results and that they'd know our names at the finish with the microphone but when we got to the finish they told us 4th or 5th and "uh, tell us your name..."

The weather was perfect! the overcast clouds kept it nice and warm with the only rain being a few hours after the race finished!

I started on the bike and didn't even think about it but wore amber lenses and the sun was still down when we started so I couldn't see anything the first 30 miles. Brabec flew by me at mile 13 then I got a flat tire at mile 20. so we had a minute long pit and then Ryan hopped on the bike.

He came back in 4th over all behind Pearson, Lane, and N2 then I got on the bike again. felt amazing for the first 10 miles then the rear brakes went away. looked down and there was oil spewing from the engine. I kept a slower pace and just tried to save the bike but i was only at mile 45 so it was a long ways. F6 cruised by when I was stuck behind a UTV in the dust. shortly after that Vandenberg cruised by.

Decided it was time to stop and look to see where the oil was coming from to see how serious it was. pulled off for about 10 seconds and saw that it was pumping out of the cluth seal and in that time Kamo, F24, and another four strke pro went by. I guess we were all crammed up behind the two UTVs I couldn't get around.

Pulled up right right behind one of the UTVs on this watered spectator section to hit the silt and almost ran into it. saw a road off to the right and was looking for a good place to get on it. just as I got on Paul Krause flew by so I charged up right next to him, took a single track to try and get him back but he edged me out and was infront of the UTVs. I had been dragging the rear brakes in hopes that they would come back and at mile 70 they came back all of a sudden and I almost ate it in a corner.

Got to the Pits and got off and Scott Dunlevy had to put the full 750ml in it and said it'll make 30 miles and we can figure out what we were going to do but the finish is most important. So i charged as hard as I could and got the bike back to Ryan safetly. Told them what was up, it still was full of oil so he just went for the finish.

He made a hard charge and just made up as much time as he could. We waited for all our guys to come through. then we packed up and went to the finish. said our hi's and bye's. congradulated all our friends then headed to some top notch Mexican food.

SO IN CONCLUSION
The course was marked pretty well. very inconsitantly though. there would be 10 turn arrows to come into the pits where it wasnt even a sharp turn then in a really fast section there would only be a few pieces of ribbon on the right and a hair pin right turn! but as long as you were paying a ton of attention and you werent in any dust it was okay. the course was really fast and pretty fun. some good little rock sections and some cool fast washes through the big bushes. our pit was perfect, there was a slight breeze away from us so we could stand right on the edge and not get dusted out at all. It was awesome to see all the spectators all over the course and to start in the middle of town.

THOSE UTVs WERE A BEAR TO PASS!!! On the roads they were easy because their top speed is like 40. but there were a few canyons that were the exact width of those things and you couldn't get by at all. then when we started going into the wind it was almost impossible. some of them were cool and let you by, but there were a few that seemed like they had something to proove. they had giant semi rigs in the pits and 15+ people in their pit crews for 1 UTV!!! it was crazy! but almost all of them were DNF'd on the side on the trail when I came around on the beginning of our 3rd lap.

ALL IN ALL IT WAS GREAT FUN!!! AGAIN CONGRATS TO EVERYONE!! thanks to Casitas Self Storage/Sandefer Construction for making it possible for us to race! thanks to all our sponsors that got everything to us the day before even with the holiday season! thanks to my dad for putting in all the hours putting the bike together and driving us there and pitting us and driving back!
