Can you tell if forks are kayaba or showa just by looking at them with no stickers?

I figured out my 06 kx250f has showas. Right? There's no way of telling just by looking at them?

The top caps are different between Showa & KYB.

THe 2001 CR250 came with Showa 47mm forks.

An additional note. The 2001 CR250 forks are the cartridge type as apose to the newer twin tube type
