Thinking Spring Break 2013, the 30th anniversary of the actual filming. What do you guys think?

| Sounds good to me. Not to soon, but not too far away. I wonder how Chata's will be looking by then? Do you know if they started demolishing the Air base yet? What do you think our chances would ever be of getting on there again? |

Chata's could go any day.....They have not started demolition and I think we can get back on if we leave him alone for the next couple of years.

Hey,
Count me in, I was so bummed that I missed out on the last one! I hope it's just like the last one....or better. I'll be driving by Chata's in a week or so. I'll take a pic of it so everyone can see what state it's in. Hopefully it's holding up. |

| I'm in. I have sat and watched several of these events come and go from here. I'm not missing this one, I'll be comin in frog modified and lookin for Mae West, except you don't want to do that because then your in trouble. . . |

i'm hopeful for spring break 2013... that'll be in april, i assume. i can prolly make that one. i can take the group to the train site, -- found it last year. Jerry (groover1971) got pretty close to it during his trip, -- its about 1 mile south of his location and is actually visible in his image #9 -- he took a few pics of the area during UF 2010. - that photobucket link is in the "UF 2010 Pictures and Video Links" thread.

I can't believe I just now am finding out about this site! LOVE this movie -- was introduced to it by a video store clerk back in the '80s. Own a copy, and watch it every time I find it on TV -- like I did again this morning. I'm totally in for the 2013 spring break!!  |

I love this movie to death. Saw it the first time in early 1986 on cable tv.
If the dates are firm by valentines day I will be able to apply for vacation and be there. We plan vacations almost a year in advance.
