How's it going fellow Beatles fanatics? I hope all is well with all of you.

I have read in various Beatles websites/forums about all of The Beatles' albums including the recent 2009 Stereo and Mono Remasters releases. However, I have never read about the 1982 Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) LP/Vinyl Boxset release. The Beatles MFSL Audiophile releases are as follows:

Please Please Me - MFSL 1-101
With The Beatles - MFSL 1-102
A Hard Day's Night - MFSL 1-103
Beatles For Sale - MFSL 1-104
Help - MFSL 1-105
Rubber Soul - MFSL 1-106
Revolver - MFSL 1-107
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - MFSL 1-100
Magical Mystery Tour - MFSL 1-047
The White Album (2-LP Set) - MFSL 2-072
Yellow Submarine - MFSL 1-108
Abbey Road - MFSL 1-023
Let It Be - MFSL 1-109

The audio souce that was used for this collection was the Original Stereo Master Tape. You can raise the volume decibal levels so high that you would never think or imagine that your stereo could sound so great. MFSL will get the BEST out of your stereo. The higher the volume levels (decibals), the better it sounds. You will hear no distortion of any kind and the bass sounds beautiful. These albums have been released individually after 1982 (Selling indivdually as much as $500.00 EACH!) and are now long out of print making them valuable collector's items. You can find the boxsets on eBay selling for as much as $1500.00 to $2000.00 per boxset. Each boxset was individually numbered, I own two of them, number's 601 and 602. I played the hell out of one of them, the other has never been played.

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) was the FIRST ever to use the term "ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING." Mobile Fidelity was the first company to ever use the "Half-Speed Production and Mastering recording process. MFSL also used the finest LP/Vinyl available at the time. MFSL had their Vinyl's specially plated and pressed on High Definition Vinyl by Victor Company of Japan Ltd. The vinyl was so thin that you could actually see right through it. I have played the hell out of one of my colllections and let me say that the vinyl has never worned out and it still sounds as crisp and beautiful today as it did when I played it for the first time. I have never heard scratches or pops while playing these albums.

In my opinion, despite being released in 1982, The Beatles MFSL Original Master Recording LP/Vinyl boxsets/individual LP's contain the finest sound quality ever! You will not find any Beatles albums or collections that sound better. Not even the recent 2009 release of The Beatles Stereo and Mono Remasters will top it.

You are probably asking yourself why MFSL has never released The Beatles collection on 24 KT. Gold CD's? The reason is because MFSL and Capitol Records cannot reach an agreement thus denying what could be the greatest sound quality of The Beatles ever!

In the 1990's, a recording studio transferred The Beatles MFSL Vinyl/LP's onto tape and created a new master tape. The result would be numerous complete Beatles MFSL bootleg collections on CD. I can honestly say that I own all of them. Some of the MFSL CD collections that come to mind are as follows:

The Beatles Complete MFSL 24 KT. Gold CD collection (Italy 1990) Believe or not, this collection once sold for $25,000.00.

The Beatles Complete Remasters CD collection - Audiophile Archival Recordings using the 24 Bit Mastering process. (Russia 2004) - RMG Records Label.

Dr Ebbetts did a 2008 mix of The Beatles Complete MFSL Vinyl/LP collection and transferred it onto CD.

In my opinion, let me be the first to say that these three Complete Beatles MFSL bootleg CD collections sound far better than The Beatles Remasters released in 2009. Forgive me, I mean no disrespect to the Capitol Records Beatles Remasters 2009 release. I own both the Stereo and Mono Beatles Remasters and I love them.

If you have a discriminating ear that loves to hear the ultimate sound, you need to hear the MFSL releases. Doing this, you will hear The Beatles as they were truly intended to be heard. Thank you for reading this long thread and take care.

If I had 500$ right now I wouldn't hesitate.

I've never really liked remasters because as you said it's not how they were meant to be heard. The Beatles made their music the way they wanted it, that shouldn't be changed (although the new 'Love' album is a really good listen)

Hi Octopus! I hope all is well with you. The Remasters were a disappointment, its a shame that Capitol Records did not Remaster The Beatles collection better. The Beatles are the all-time greatest band EVER! Knowing that, The Beatles deserved the very best treatment possible from Capitol Records, the fact is that The Beatles didn't get it and thats sad.

I realize that the MFSL releases are very expensive, but once you hear The Beatles' MFSL releases on your Stereo Turntable, and through your speakers, you will know exactly where your extra money was spent.

I LOVE THE "LOVE" album! Sir George Martin and his son Giles Martin did a fantastic job in putting the "LOVE" album together. Its almost like hearing a new Beatles album for the first time. Did you see the "LOVE" show in Las Vegas? I did and the show was fantastic! I saw the show on Sunday, 21 October 2007 at 10:00 P.M. I paid $150.00 per ticket (For three tickets). I sat in the front row at Section 108, Row A, Seat 1. If you haven't seen the "LOVE" show, please see it. YOU WILL LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DID! Take care.

If only my family were as big of a Beatles fan as me. If it were up to me that would be our next vacation.

You're kidding me! Your family is not into The Beatles as much as you? That's unheard of! My girlfriend was not into The Beatles at all when I met her a year ago. Guess what, she LOVES The Beatles now thanks to yours truly. I really did not have to do anything, force or convince her of anything. I let The Beatles speak for themselves. Now its Beatles this and Beatles that, I created a Beatles monster. Get your family up to Vegas, there's plenty to do in Vegas. After all, its America's playground. Take care Octopus.
