Hey there fellow Racers-
I'm running a 14/48 for Round 1 this weekend in the Lites Beginner Class. I wonder if I'm gunna get smoked due to low-gearing? Any thoughts? |

just ride better than everyone in the tighter stuff, and hold it wide open in the flats.... you'll be fine.
as far as the gearing goes, I dont know.. I have a 450f and its stock gearing is 13/49 |

That is what my son runs as well. He does pretty good with it until he falls. At our level you will be fine. |

The question really is, Can I handle crashing at 70 or 82 MPH Thats what goes thru my head every time I start to Gear up for USDR. I have decided that 70 is fine...... |

LOL- That's the very same question that went thru my mind as well Jays2nd. Things happen a lot quicker at those speeds. I think I'm safe just going up 1 tooth in the front. That way its just a lil higher top speed than I usually run- |
