Harper27 Hey there fellow Racers-

I'm running a 14/48 for Round 1 this weekend in the Lites Beginner Class. I wonder if I'm gunna get smoked due to low-gearing? Any thoughts?

just ride better than everyone in the tighter stuff, and hold it wide open in the flats.... you'll be fine.

as far as the gearing goes, I dont know.. I have a 450f and its stock gearing is 13/49

ajetmech That is what my son runs as well. He does pretty good with it until he falls. At our level you will be fine.

Jays2nd The question really is, Can I handle crashing at 70 or 82 MPH Thats what goes thru my head every time I start to Gear up for USDR. I have decided that 70 is fine......

LOL- That's the very same question that went thru my mind as well Jays2nd. Things happen a lot quicker at those speeds. I think I'm safe just going up 1 tooth in the front. That way its just a lil higher top speed than I usually run-
