Rob Zombie Is it the challenge of pushing through terrain and obstacles that you have no idea existed until you come upon it. or the people that make up the racing community that makes you feel like your at a family reunion every month.

El Tortuga I enjoy the endurance aspect of it. I am not really racing anyone but myself and the terrain. I just want to finish.

Trying to stay on the ribbon and not knowing what is next. A deep sand wash or a long cross grain valley crossing. Maybe a rocky singletrack section it's amazing just how varied the terrain can be in a dez race.

Also towards the end of a race when you start to see some dust then see the rider. That burst of energy that comes over you as you try to reel them in. The feeling of satisfaction once you finally make the pass. It's great nothing like it.

itsadilly 3x Great question Rob , so many things to list . For me it's the thrill of the race , passing riders , passing riders off the trail, passing my buddies , hoping not to get passed myself , looking over to see my friends and family cheering me on ,making it through a hard section the first time ,when other riders don't ,knowing I will finish the race , and of course just to be B.alls O.ut R.acing .................. cool video , cool tune, pumps you up,makes you want to race.............

KUDLA 21 I like that Im kinda good at it. I suck at moto so I hate that. especially GPs because of all the sandbaggers and breaking bumps in and out of every corner. and that you HAVE to stay in the 10 ft wide course and try to make passes on people that DO NOT want you to pass and are agressive as hell. Thats why the desert is so great! You have the freedom of 50ft from the ribbon to make good decisions that'll put you in the lead. It a lot more like a family. if you bail at a GP or a Motocross no one will stop (unless its a desert guy) but even the fastest guys in the desert will stop and help you off the course and the guy behind him will even wait so they can continue racin. the diversity of the terrain. one second it'll be wide open, then whoops, then in sand dunes, then in the most gnarly rocks you could imagine, then you'll comeout on a ridge and have an amazing view of the whole desert. if you have the balls to pin it the longest you'll be in the front... and I dont suck at it...

Daryl Tarpey Going faster than my mom would like me to, pushing my 150 to its full potential, not knowing whats over the next hill and still not letting off the throtle, the edurance, every lap could have a new obsticle. And how KUDLA 21said the other riders that are willing to stop and help u when your down. Like what 21Q did for me.
