Thanks for your interest in Moral Relativism Magazine's message board. You can use this to discuss philosophy, morality, or both. Please stay on topic and be excellent to each other.
Do I have to register to post?
No. Anyone may post. If you choose to register, you can create an avatar and a signature.
How can I change my profile?
Use the My Account link found on top of the board pages.
What do I do if I lose my username and/or password?
How do I start a new topic?
Click on "General Discussion". At the top right (above the Select Forum drop-down menu) you'll see a big orange "New Topic" button. Press it. You will be asked to name the topic.
What should I name the new topic?
Choose something descriptive. "Question" or "Help needed" doesn't tell other users what the topic is about, and they will waste their time clicking on it to find out. A better example is "Moral arguments that don't refer to God," which happens to be the first topic started on this board.
Can I add HTML to my messages?
What are Private Messages(PM)?
Private messages can be used to send messages to other registered members of the board. To check your messages, log in to Private Messages through the link on the main page. Once there you can also send messages. It's also possible to send a message by clicking on the PM link which comes with each post. Your messages will be stored for 30 days.
What are community leaders?
They are users in charge of the boards. They can delete message, change settings etc. Currently there is one admin with the username "mrm".
Can I edit or delete my own posts?
Yes. Community leaders can do so as well.
Is it possible to search the boards?
No. The ExCo doesn't yet have a search function.
What are archives?
The archives contain older messages. After a forum reaches 150 topics, the last 50 are moved to an archive.
