Hey....great. Mark.......youre 18........"with a bullet....got your finger on the trigger.....gonna pullit." >>>One of my Lewis Taylor favorites. Are you allowed to have played that obscure.......rare....or bootlegged or whatever Lewis Taylor blues number you put on the web a few years ago for us here. It was great...love to have it. Anyhow sounds like a great day for ya...keep the momentum going.

I know some of you couldn't sleep for the worry of it but I was told yesterday that those lovely people at apple are going to give me the access code for my training even though i've lost the voucher and the receipt.

Thats what I call customer service...even if underserved...so well done Apple!!!

right, gotta leave the computer alone for a couple of hours to interact wih real people for a while, darn it.

happy chrimbus one and all.

My many fans might also wish to know, Sunday is officially Mark Ede radio day. From 2pm to 3pm, myself, a man with a face for radio, will be talking on my favourite subject - myself- on Kairen Kemp's show on Radio Reverb 97.2Fm, www. radioreverb.com, whilst the lovely Kairen spins some music chosen by me,,,,, Jo Harman, Lewis Taylor and Cate Ferris included...then, in the evening...at 8pm I appear live in the studio as one of three ' industry professionals' (mock ye not) on BBC Introducing on South Live http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/surrey/...00/8215222.stm. Telling promising artists where they are going wrong, - a job for which I have been preparing myself for at least 30 years now.

John,

Just think about the ladies from High School who are single all over again. They have the right to think about the old days and what could have been. They would make great dates for a AWB concert. Most of them were raising kids and not grooving the night away. FaceBook can help with that.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

georgo,

I have my mug plastered in a laptop for 8-to-10 hours a day at work. The thought of burying my face in it for even 10 minutes longer when I get or home or at night is repulsive. I crave real human interaction at that point.

And as for catching up with "long-lost friends from high school" -- I have to question the sincerity of someone (not you) who wants to catch up with me 30 years later simply because he now has Facebook?

What the hell was wrong with the telephone for the last 30 years?

I have a Facebook profile...I actually like it. It in noway takes ANYTHING away from my personal relationships. It just adds certain things to my life.

For instance, talking to Clyde via Facebook was pretty cool. You can actually use it as a sort of email communication that's strickly between the two of you...or having Phil AKA PB as a friend, cool stuff.

I also have searched long lost friends from as far back as high school and I will say it's pretty nice to catch up with people.
As far as random info such as my favorite color, I don't use it for that. I actually have had pretty good sucess using it as a free marketing tool for business.

Off topic but check this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFY_A9UofUk

If Terry Lewis put as much effort into playing guitar for/with Mamas Gun, Jo Harman, Freddy V, Laura Vane etc then he'd have a lot more money.

He's bonkers!

Someone bought me a 80 voucher for unlimited training (including complicated music programs like logic) at the Apple Shop. And god knows I need it (as you and Fred will confirm, Al).

Like a muppet, I've already lost the voucher. What a prat!

Touch-screen, fast internet access, email, camera, video, facebook, live news and weather, lots of applications...I love my phone.
Then I bury my nose in my laptop :-)
