Echo all that, Harry, those young musicians probably weren't even born when Oh Maceo came out, yet they still locked into the groove (I don't think there is sheet music available for it, unless I'm mistaken).

On another type of cover, this is an excellent backing track for Cloudy, which I think stands on its own feet, even without the vocals, but see what you think:

Whooooops….dere it is. A particularly fun post Marc. Why? …….because there it is……millenials….the real youth…all seemingly born only about 6 and half days ago. With completely no knowledge of AWB…Fred, Alan, Onnie and the guys…..but…..we saw them getting that very first "touch"…..the "touch" that goes through their ears…to their brains…but….but….then further than that, Further into their soul. Yes. Beyond where Taylor Swift, and Miley Cyrus goes. The soul..that something particular to where AWB always goes. I hope Fred, Alan…and the troops see this video in particular. These people all had a big smile on their face. Not really knowing why or how. They have no knowledge of the 70s…that era. The..just as young musicians had the same smile..having somehow stumbled on to that tune, that came from the oh so special band we all know. This "road warrior" band…that keeps pushing past all problems….they should see this once in a while…how they "touch" the souls of people who see them …or…in this case hear, for the very first time, their art…their creation. Their art DOES…touch people. In a very good and special way. And it is so obvious here. Just a very good post once again Marc. Very good.

Great version of Oh Maceo, by The Street Band, in the middle of a skating rink in Saint Petersburg:

Excellent stuff!

Haven't seen this before, Paul, but really nice cover, particularly in a church setting, which gives it a spiritual feel. Very nice post.

Here's a sort of AWB cover, as Marion Meadows covers Alan Gorrie's solo album song Sleepless Nights, with guest vocals by Alan Gorrie, and very nice it is too:

I don't usually look at play-alongs as they're not really covers, but this is an exception for this excellent up-coming young funk drummer:
