It's a shame they can't get sony to pay for it. This game sells their Move Hardware. This game is the ONLY reason I have Move hardware right now.

Regardless, leaving the game in this condition speaks poorly to their company, as I would expect similar quality control issues from their future releases...

I sure hope that email works. Like I said I sent a similar email and they did respond but that they had no resources to work on it. Maybe knowing it's more than just one guy asking they can find the time/money to do it. It's probably more dealing with getting a patch through PSN than actually doing it.

Also, I feel bad because he said a Move Fitness US release was "up to Sony" and sounded dejected in that sentence. Sony is missing the ball here by not just releasing but promoting Move Fitness - it's really a fun fitness game with Move used to work your arms and legs in fun mini-games, with programmable workouts etc.

With regards to that fight and grabbing, yeah I just can't get myself to grab - it breaks the "immersion" of the fight since the grabbee can't inflict damage (unrealistic).

One other thing I really wish the game let you do was back up faster - then again I hated the AI fighters who just walked backwards (especially on timed fights). I'd really settle for fixing the joiner bonus. Even though Move Fitness is fun and all around exercise, the Fight really gets your adrenaline pumping online and I tend to exercise longer with it than MF.

I watched that fight, where he kept grabbing you. That only worked for him because he was regenerating health during the grab. I just rotate both of my arms in circles while simultaneously pressing T+MoveButton. I tend to hit back and block attacks while doing this.

I beat him pretty consitently by flailing my arms widly at him when he tries to grab (hate to admit that). He had to change his strategy. He does make a good argument for grabbing since he gains health back while he does it.

I sent the following email to info@coldwood.com this morning:

There is one issue in particular that really needs to be fixed. Whoever joins an online match gets a SIGNIFICANT boost to their speed. They move unnaturally fast and it is almost impossible to block their punches. See this forum for more details: http://s3.excoboard.com/thefightlig...ut/71801/883296

It should literally take 1 software engineer 2-to-8 hours to solve this problem (you will also need a 2nd person to test with in an online ranked match, and I would be willing to participate if necessary). The problem has been prevalent for over a year and the issue is HIGHLY reproducible. Please address this (it should cost under $1000 for the time spent to please hundreds, or even thousands of customers).

Now, for some features that desperately need to be added, but don’t make the game unplayable:
1) Add a “quick join” option to the online ranked games, that will place you in an open match on ANY of the arenas. So few people play this game now due to the issue above, that it is nearly impossible to find a match on any arena other than “Old School”.
2) Add a lobby to view all players who have created a server and are waiting for a player to join them. Most of the code should be re-usable from the online “Watch&Bet” feature.
I just bought this game, and the single player is fun, but I really want to be able to fight people online, and there is still a chance to revive this game (and even make a sequel) if you fix these issues (or at least the first issue with the unfair joining advantage).

I think also it may be that the starter just gets "stunned" more quickly/easily and can't fight back.

I fought two others a few times last night as well. One guy had good stats but wasn't a dynamic fighter. I beat him handily when joining and when starting, he beat me, but I hung in pretty good (he maybe had 1/3 health left).

The other guy fought well but used the grab A LOT. Same results basically but one time he actually beat me when I joined - this match he must have grabbed me about 8 times. I find it really annoying for all the known reasons. We both had slivers of health left, but since he was able to take me health away with so many grabs, I lost. I said "try not grabbing"on the mic and the next couple fights that I joined, I won - one he grabbed a little, one he didn't grab at all (which is the one I really pummelled him on). The times he joined, he always beat me.

Spaceboy and I tried this out last night, and it is pretty conclusive that the person who joined had a significant SPEED boost. It did not appear to me that their punches did more damage PER PUNCH, but they were moving so fast that simply rapidly punching would do massive amounts of damage (it also makes it nearly impossible to block).

Now the question is "Can you prevent this anomoly from occurring?"

I think zombie fighters can win sometimes because if their arms are out straight, even with minimal movement, you take damage from making contact - and due to the way you can't move around their sides really it's hard to get a hook or body blow on them without getting one to the face from their outstretched arms.

but still, they manage to win somehow...
But sometimes you find someone who has got a clue about boxing.

yeah frankenstein or zombie punchers are the worst. I like to see someone throwing something that looks like a real punch!

I noticed this "problem", but what annoys me more are those punch spammers who walk around like frankenstein...

Hey, ezeekyule, did I add you as a friend today? I added someone today- was it you?

Greets.

If you keep an eye on it and even test it a bit I think you'll see it more. I was fighting a guy with similar stats to me and who fought the same style as me pretty much and the joiner always won. Granted they were closer than if we had uneven stats.

I'd be more than happy to test it out sometime. Like I said though, it's still worthwhile for fun and exercise, I only want this known so someone doesn't get frustrated by it or think the other guy is cheating somehow.
