* Interesting writing style for Terminus and Clyde -- sort of a cross between novel and normal action/dialogue. Not sure what I think of it yet.

* I feel the segment from 'The Hype' was missing something in terms of action description. IE. There should have been an inference of Heather Owens being upset by Messer's comment about her being a "Harvard girl, yada yada yada" but instead we go straight into more of Messer's monologue with him just saying 'Oh i struck a nerve" or whatever. Just didn't do it for me.

* Ha Ha! O'Connor calling out the comments from the Internet peanut gallery who questioned the usage of his nickname (Eat that, suckers -- and you know who you are). Aside from that, I thought it was a good promo and can easily see JO'C vs Clyde Kennedy continue in Season 11.

* Bravo Clyde Kennedy! Extra points for every mention of "TSWF" -- just kidding. Good promo from Kennedy. This match between him and O'Connor is gonna be a good one, bank on it!

* Eh... not impressed with the GVZ promo. Too back and forth too quickly and too much.

* Hmm...Orchid attacked Jasy? What the...?!?

* I could be wrong but was Poet Wright's promo a rehash of her promo on "Road to Ringu Faia"?

* Jeezus! The Hype live up to their name and are instant fodder for a quick debut win for the new guys from IGA. Just LOVELY!

* No offense but I don't need a history or geography lesson when I read an eW promo. So sticking alot of facts into the scene description is a quick turnoff. Good thing I skimmed right ahead to the dialogue so... I can skim through the rest of the promo. Good substance Eddie C but it could've been said in half the space.

* Decent promo from Ewiak but on the other side of the coin from Eddie C's as he could've taken a moment to address his opponents one by one rather than lumping them altogether. But HEY maybe that's Ewiak's style.

* Not quite sure what to make of the Vincent/Keenan segment -- I mean Vincent completely disregarded his match at Ringu Faia and chose to focus his camera time on his past exploits against Andrew Davis (a man who I DON'T see in his immediate future post Ringu Faia).

* Hah! I kind of enjoyed Ryan Bradley's promo for the sheer fact that the kid really doesn't have much of a leg to stand on after some of his most recent moments in the limelight.

* Good segment from Marissa Monet who can surely be the next Fusion contender without any gripes backstage.

* Good Japanese style women's match from BCA and Orchid.

* Woo! The reunion of the best damn tag team in SPW -- well besides The Red Devils =D

* WOO HOO! I got a shout out from Lord Death Knell! =D Great segment to give us all a good laugh. And am I wrong or is Lil' Orphan Tommy the current IGA Fight Club champion? =D

* God damn! Morris Bass completely disregarded his opponent. ZOOT ALOR! *hehe*

* Good finish to the Bass/Baldwin match (of which I wrote the first 99%).

* Funny segment from Team EGO - and combined with the usual stuff from The Deadbeats, it is sure to be a comedic tag title match -- not something I would like to see regularly so get some REAL tag title contenders in there *cough cough* Wild & Starring.

* And then we have El Rey from the Futuro... I don't buy the things that his spokesman says being verbatim the thoughts of the honorable luchador. IE. the usage of the word "impotent."

* Good promo from Andrew Davis. I for one am rooting for him to go into the final match...but that's where it ends for him because there's bigger fish to fry for Davis than winning the Fusion title.

* Volga's promo gets extra points for name dropping El Bizaroonie but I gotta root for Knight to retain.

It's a big card, so I'll do this one part at a time, double-posting if necessary.

JOC actually doing his long-awaited introductory promo! Please understand that his debut was as something of a replacement to Henry Spikes after his injury: I first thought of James as a management figure by the "wizened vet" act he was pulling. Clyde and Terminus should've done something like that too: what I saw was mostly an "why doesn't anyone know us from IGA" act during their promo.

Clyde made the best of showing why his past achievements in a former fed would make him a threat in this current fed without looking down at the current product.

Yeah, GVZ's promo was in dire need of narration and description. Also, gravitas, because right now both Joy and GVZ (who's Joy??) are just going through the match as if it's a monthly chore. I've never been a fan of the blasé cool dude who's above his competition.

Jasy & Tif was short, with Jasy guilty of having very little substance in her promo. Poet's stuff was far better and actually got into the why of her disfigurement: it's the kind of stuff that matters when you're heading towards a PPV.

SQUASH MATCH: put a fork in the Hype, they're done. Handler-penned jobber characters now. Commentary in particular quite unkind to the Hypesters... Was the handler sick of his own characters and wanted the most brutal send-off possible? Nice gesture for Clyde and Terminus: they'll be tag contenders in no time.

Eddie, very good. Too bad the match he's in is so unforgiving, but I'm certain he'll be painted well after this monstrous effort. In fact, I'd even call the promo rather long, but it's well broken up so that the paragraphs never turn monstrous.

From Ryan I learn that Vince Viper is dead, and that "the Reaper" is as much a candidate for being Spooky's uncle as anyone else. Cute beginning, but that's it: it doesn't build from the MM mockery and putters out.

MM could win, but it's a longshot vs EC. If nothing else, she is doing some great exposition on her character.

W&S: Who's Jase? Jasy O'Neil? I wanna say right now how I don't like the fact that nearly all W&S promos are so self-absorbed: it's always about their relationship and how they can trust each other and "where've you been"... Promote the power of the team already, what they can do together!

Team BAJ... It's a parody of the Genki girl trope, isn't it? Lot's of "glomping" involved?

Stacia had the best promo of the 6-girl match. serious, gives me reason that she's a threat in the ring. I'd recommend making it even more visual: show us what all this drilling leads to. Make us anticipate the violence that comes when she steps into the ring and all that.

TO BE CONTINUED.

Fair point. W&S have always really been about their relationship, backstory, and interaction, because by design they're not a big trash-talking team (Van Wild specifically, especially this cycle as this is only the second time Starring has spoken). They haven't talked or teamed for about 2 years, so I felt like I needed this transitional RP to get them realistically from where they were at the end of the last show, to where they need to be for this one. Also, I submitted two RP's, so I'm guessing AJ decided to save the second for an oncard. That one may be more what you're looking for.

Oh, and Jase is Van Wild btw (Jason Van Wilder). His friends call him by his real name, others by Van, which is his ring name.

* Great opening match between Kennedy & O'Connor with an amazing finishing sequence. Nice win, JO'C.

* GVZ and his complete ripoff of that guy who couldn't hold a job in Stamford... what a joke! I WILL give credit to the GTS counter of the suicide dive... very nice spot. And a good post match to set up the next chapter in this GVZ vs Frost story. Hmm... The NEW Black Mass -- Frost/Bradley/Liermann vs GVZ/???/??? (any thoughts on who would fill those slots?)

* Jeezus! The Women's title match was insane. All 3 put on a great show and the champ deserves to wear the title after this battle. Now as for "Orchid", she sort of faded into the background after making her initial appearance during the match. Thank god the announcers acknowledged that they forgot about her.... nice touch.

You wanna see some trash talking from Wild & Starring? Look at Legacy 2007 when The Red Devils defeated Wild & Starring for the SPW World Tag titles. =D

BASS: marking out for cute doggies in pro-wrestling, finding that bringing wrestling back to 1986 is a bit too extreme. I'd like to remind the people that Spooky Doom wasn't even born in 1986. I made my rant before as to why wrestling fans shouldn't want "old school" acts, how we'd like to believe that "our" fans would prefer the cutting edge of wrestling rather than a nostalgia act. I know that I'm speaking to deaf ears as it concerns those two but... Hey, how about teaming up? Bass and Baldwin could easily capture the tag titles and form a strong tag scene all by themselves!

Hard match to hype up: Baldwin surprisingly technical and hitting a couple of flying clothesline. Screaming how Baldwin was "near death" was certainly overkill (I'm not buying it for one second) and... I don't think the "mixed" finish helped anyone. Morris got the best end of the stick (he wins the brawl) but the token DQ win does nothing for a tough guy hombre like Baldwin. Morris isn't a winner and Baldwin isn't the kind of guy to benefit from DQ victories.

Team EGO is all Owen Cage as I don't understand Shane Diamond's contribution to hyping up his team. Owen tries to match Diamond's "wimpery" with the Paddington Bear stuff but... Well at least he hypes up his team and his threats. Guess the feud will still end up Spooky Doom vs Owen Cage despite everything else; at least Shane Diamond got his moment in the sun.

Futuro: that was one hell of a quote right there. I can just imagine Futuro writing all of this down by pen, 2 pages worth, approaching Pablo and saying; right meate, you tell 'em all what I wrote right here. Be honest: just say Futuro doesn't speak and have Pablo be a mouthpiece character to sell off the mysterious superstar, then put all your efforts in making Pablo a charismatic speaker and make him interesting to read. Make a great manager! You're going half & half and diluting everything. Pablo isn't interesting, Futuro is absent... Commit!

Andrew I thought was going the paranoid route, by kinda shirked away from there. Why? Great ending though, and you hyped up the fed the best which is sure to get you tons of brownie points.

Toho museum is a good setting, makes it very relevant considering his (potential) opponents of the night. Can't appreciate how he's basically exposing all of his (potential) opponents, seems hurtful to the product as a whole but I suppose that's his style.

Sammy was harsh on HJV, but I guess that a suitable enough ending might really put an exclamation point on this feud, prevent future no-shows. When you think about it, Sammy is basically saying that he's running HJV out of SPW because he didn't put as much effort as the next guy... which is certainly an exageration. I understand why he's going there, but yeah; harsh promo.

I sort of agree that the finish to the match was sort of short changing to both people. And as much of an interesting ideas as 2 old school guys teaming to go after the tag titles, I dont think Baldwin and Bass will be shaking hands anytime soon.

Going into RF proper now...

COJ vs Kennedy is one hell of a wild brawl, loved the Godzilla reference. maybe more apt for the Bass/Baldwin fight what with them fighting through the stands (always a staple of some good brawling). Good suprise finish with the "everybody hits their finishers" bit.

So.. GVZ steals the GTS in addition to Kennedy's bit? I will say this is the most enthusiastic I've seen the announcers. Nice spotfest from GVZ leading into a most excellent feud for him in the future.

Yeah, saw the Poet Wright victory coming a mile away. That superplex/450 splash spot was the highspot of the match, and needed more highlighting as such (use more exclamation from the announcers, or a more stylistic break to draw attention towards the high spot; maybe even a later placement in the match nearer to the finish). Okay, that and the hardcore spot with the tacks.

EDIT: more CM Punk OUTRAGE!!!. Emphasis on the RAGE!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OthWXdqnP6E

There was a mix up somewhere. The Poet Wright flash for Road to Ringu Faia wasn't used.

* Good segment from Marissa Monet who can surely be the next Fusion contender without any gripes backstage.

Isn't that because both you and Hopper don't play here any more?

LOL Dare, you are giving me way too much credit for any of that.

I may never have liked it, but all I did was tell AJ not to ever book my character against a female.....and it wasn't specific as to any certain one...

* Not quite sure the purpose of the scene with the card on Andrew Davis' door but I guess we'll see where it leads later in the show.

* Nice segment from Wild & Starring -- extra points for simply inferring to The Biz. All in all, I'm glad to see these 2 back in action and predict they will dominate the tag title hunt in due time.

* So the cards are a message from El Rey Futuro? LAME!

* I loved the story being told during the 3 way Fusion Grand Prix Semi Final match with Davis playing his usual role of coward heel against fan favorite El Rey Futuro. Nice win for Davis who I truly predicted to make it into the finals on his way to becoming the NEXT SPW World title contender.

* BIG mistake of SPW to work with NJWF -- that's all I'm gonna say.

* I am sort of taken back by the actions during the attack on Kieran Rae. Abuse to women like that is very frowned upon -- especially stapling them in the forehead. All in all, this saga (while slightly overly dramatic) has been interesting to follow.

* Even in the opening moments, I definitely felt a vibe of typical Joshi matches with the actions of the Team BAJ girls. Nice writing from whoever did this one. Hometown victory and a good show that the visitors can come out on top without burying the regulars.

* WOO! Mike McCarey returns! Some might say he was probably living in Japan as of late since he was working some NJWF events but it's still good to see him back in SPW.

* We all awaited the moment when Cage and Colt Montana would duke it out in this match. And when it happened, it was entertaining. All in all, great tag team action -- and I take back the comment earlier about comedy overshadowing this match because when it came down to it, both teams fought their asses off. Great post match spot to continue what has now become a decent rivalry over the Tag Team titles.

* Great match and an amazing win for Wild & Starring. Deathknell definitely came across as a monster but was felled by the tag teamwork of W&S. AND YES!!! I KNEW THE DOUBLE CROSS WAS GONNA HAPPEN! Everything was too cozy for it to go down any other way although I thought for sure that Chris Wheeling was going to walk off WITH Starring. NICE ONE, JON!

* Ooo... more soap opera style drama. I LOVE IT!

* Ginger Ninja not having a good debut. Oh well!

* Ha ha -- nice opportunist moment from Frank Ewiak.

* Good showing so far by Eddie C to battle from the opening bell and not give a single inch. I must admit though that there should've been more mention of Marissa Monet on the apron prior to her entry into the physical portion of the match.

* Cheap finish if ya ask me with the freshest person coming out on top. ALSO, where is it written that this was a Falls Count Anywhere match? I demand a recount and the official to be suspended for poor workmanship. OH and what's the deal with the table pieces? I didn't see any mention of Eddie C being put through a table at the end. PROOF READ PEOPLE!

* More cryptic stuff. Can't say it enough -- Interesting.

* The Fusion title match was really good. Like I always said, both Davis and Frost deserved to be in this match and in the end, I think the right person came out the victor. Plus Davis' loss continues the saga of "him vs management."

* Is it in Jack Sharp's character to use the "F" word?

* Right off the bat... I LOVE the big time event vibe of the entrances and ring introductions. Nice touch!

* AMAZING FIGHT! GREAT FINISH! MY LORD... DID KNIGHT REALLY BREAK HIS ARM IN ORDER TO KEEP THE TITLE? A PAGE OUT OF THE BIZ'S BOOK IF I EVER HEARD OF ONE (ie. Biz risking his own arm to break out of a submission hold from Larry Gionet)

* AND AS I PREDICTED -- THE ANDREW DAVIS POST MATCH APPEARANCE!

* DEREK WEAVER?!? WOW!!! And a mass invasion from IGA? Good stuff!

Great show over all.

Every single match was a very good read, especially the main event. was at the edge of my seat from sammy knight's entrance.

Fusion Finals was a good match too.

Congrats to Marissa Monet..

Didn't expect Starring to turn on Wild. Guess I didn't see that coming!

SPW vs IGA...and Eddie Christian, the same guy who jumped ship from SPW to IGA last year, standing with SPW? ironic!

Great show from start to finish

Congratulations to all of you and I think without a doubt we can say we had a very successful season. The difference between this one and last one comes down to one thing, help. With a group of skilled and talented people working together we have a machine that is becoming unstoppable. I don't even feel like taking a vacation but I will for at least a week, and get out to the beach or something.

I'll go through the card with my highlights later on, but once again to everyone involved, those that won and those that made a true impact, great job you're my heroes. Way to bring the money for the PPV.

Well, it seems like SPW has hit upon a successful formula. This cycle also did not have management tensions. It seemed more people were on the same page this time around.

Nice run Eddie Christian. I think that was a match that came down to strategy decisions. People did kind of forget monet on the apron, but there was no way she was going to fall to EC coming in that fresh at the end of the match (which was stratted to be done.)

I liked the Sammy Knight and Victor Frost matches. Sammy Knight will die for that title. Has he begun his own end? I doubt it. I think he just kicked it up a notch.

I will say that I like the implications being brought forth for the next season: a West Side Story-like feudin' between the SPW and the ex-IGA boys. With Derek Weaver "leading" the IGA boys, we can have our implications of who's good and who's bad right away. Can I hope to expect a succesful Invasion storyline? Gives everyone tons to do storywise.

Just a brief thank you to EVERYONE I have worked with here in SPW in my time here. I am sorry that, thanks to real life (the bitch she is...) that I was not able to give the full attention I should have given that last feud, and for those that are disappointed in Jakob for that, please know that so am I, as any feud with someone as absolutely AMAZING as Sammy Knight deserves better. I want to thank AJ for giving me the opportunity with a new gimmick and giving it the chance to become what it has, and for not completely jobbing me out the door like he could have. I hope to work with all of you again in the future, whether it be here or in another place.

*small bow to all of you*

Thank you,
