Really nice job there WeiKhuen, I can see you're going to fit right in here on this forum!!

If you would try to keep the resolution of your images (width or height) to under 1000pixels then they will better fit on the screen.....

Hi All,

Thank for all these positive comments.

I live in Singapore. I am a serious amateur photographer. I have been taking photo for 5 yrs. My main interest is in landscape and nature. I travel around my region - Bali, Myanmar, Thailand and Malaysia - to take photo.

I always have interest in painting. Frankly, I don't know how to paint. Never hold a brush before. It is a difficult journey for me. I hope to learn from all of you.

Kong Ming Den is an yearly event. It happens on the 15th, last month of the thai calendar. The event is very exciting and grand. A lot photographers from different parts of the world come to participate the event. National geographic also there.

When I was there, the weather was cool (20~26deg) and no rain. Good for traveling and photo taking. Hope you enjoy in thailand :")

Thank you for the comment

The lantern image was done in corel painter using den's oil brush. I painted over the photo using clone color selection. I also added yellow and orange to enhance the lantern.

For the old lady and the baby, I follow Brad Virtual oil tutorial.

For the baby, I use painter oil brushes to paint the baby face, clothing and background. Then, I use smudge tool in photoshop to smooth the face and portion of the cloth.

Thanks for the workflow......

Truly excellent and appreciated.

Unfortunately I am not familiar with Painter so may not be able to do what you have done....

However, really love your images and style.

Best wishes
