A profile picture is the picture under your name that appears beside each post you submit.
Resize your picture in another program. It must be below 150KB. If you have Microsoft Picture It, open it in there, click "Save copy for....email or web," choose web thumbnail view. That will resize the image to work perfectly.
1. Go to "My account" (top of page)
2. Open "Image Gallery"
3. Choose "view/upload images to folder"
4. Upload Picture
5. Click "Get Image Link" and copy the code under "Link:"
6. Click "Profile" (top of page)
7. Enter your password
8. Paste code into the space beside "Avatar"
9. Bonus: While you're in your profile, check to make sure that your email address is correct.
10. Submit

My only guess is that it happened before you uploaded it here...maybe whn you cropped it.

Yea maybe...I am not very "techi smart......" I purposely did not zoom and crop because I know that can make it blurry. But maybe I need to use some other one. How else could I do it?
Edit: Auralie's goofy pose has nothing to do with the editing in case you're wondering!

Hmm, if it wasn't blurry to start with and you didn't crop it, I'm not sure. Did you resize it for the web? While that is a neccesary step, it can make a picture less clear.

Yes, I had to resize it..but i don't believe I cropped it at all.....

For those of you who need help resizing your picture to post it on here, I found a website that does it for you!! It worked very well for me. It needs to be less than 150 pixels, I set mine at 100. Just thought some of you might be interested in trying it.

I think it would be nice too...and I don't have one. Maybe I should sit down and see if I can possibly figure it out this time. Seems every time I try I run into some snag or another.

If I understand you right, I think what you need to do is put in your current password at the top of the page when you posted your link. Something that always has to be done to save any changes you are making.
If that is not what you meant, please forgive me.

No, that is exactly what I meant but when I put in my new password it says incorrect old password, retrieve your old password. To do that I need to enter my email address and since I up dated that also it says it is not on file. maybe I goofed elsewhere

Sandra, Great job on getting a picture up!!! And, wow, you look SO young! I'm jealous.
You are not the first one to have a HUGE profile picture on at first. What you'll need to do is resize it some more, so that it's tiny before you upload it. If you need help, let me know.

Can any of you computer savvy ladies downsize this photo for me or is it something I have to do myself ? I went to the above mentioned website and it worked perfectly the first time, so I decided I want to use a different photo and didn't work again. Sorry I am so big! I think I am going to stay away from here until I get used to looking at a big me.

Sandra, I resized your picture, but can't change it in your profile because you or one of the moderators have to do that, so I'll just post it here and you can save it to your computer and save it to your Image Gallery on here.
(Right click on the pic and click 'Save Picture As' to save it to wherever you want to in your computer).
