Posted August 19th, 2010 07:50 PM IP I was sewing late last night and wanted something good to listen to (Adventures in Odyssey gets old. ) , so I found a Cd my sister sent me awhile ago with this sermon on it. I thought it was so good, I just wanted to recommend it to you all. I really have no idea who the preacher is or where he comes from, it was just a powerful sermon with lots of really neat practical life lessons, taken from the life of an eagle.
(I hope the link works, let me know if it doesn't)

Posted August 20th, 2010 09:39 AM IP I wanted to add this one illustration that I thought was so neat. Did you know that eagles have two sets of eyelids? One is kinda like sunglasses, they can close them and still see through them. When they're flying they always stay between their predators and the sun. When something starts flying after them, they just shut their "sunglasses" eyelids and fly directly towards the sun, and their predators lose them in the blinding rays of the sun.
When Satan and the world starts coming after us, we need to do the same. Turn our faces and fly towards the SON! We have victory over Satan when we are facing into the glorious light of the SON. Isn't that awesome!? Christy
