Posted March 8th, 2012 02:44 PM IP Someone mentioned low-flow shower heads over in Discussion and Debate and so I thought I'd bring my inquiry over here.
One of our shower heads needs replaced...it's pathetic. I was thinking it'd be a good idea to replace it with a low-flow...but I always got the impression that low-flow heads have a pretty pathetic stream. I like a nice strong, big flow of water hitting me! So, those of you who have the low-flow shower heads...what are they like? -Janelle

Posted March 8th, 2012 02:56 PM IP My husband just told me the other day that our shower head needs to be replaced, too. It's low-flow and we don't like it!!! No, seriously, we don't know what kind it is. But DH will never put up with something that water just piddles out of. He always comments if we are away some where and the shower delivers a good gush of water. Jan

Posted March 8th, 2012 02:57 PM IP I can't even notice the difference on ours. You can adjust it from a fine mist to straight stream that almost looks like its right out of the faucet. I was worried too that it would be a small drippy, pathetic steam, but its not.
Here is a link to the one we have. 1.5 Gallons per minute.
Shower head
Like I said in the other thread. Our gas company offered it for .99. For you locals, it's Columbia.
EDIT: I just checked now, and its free with free shipping. There's also a .50 one you can order that's 1.75 gallons per minute.
Here is the link if you have Columbia gas. (I think I said electric company in the other thread)

Have your account number handy to order.

Posted March 8th, 2012 06:49 PM IP I hated the low flow one we had bc of the water coming out just around the edge of the circle. By the time it got down to me i could stand in side the circle and get my shoulders wet but not my head shower heads MUST have a center spray to be effective for me!! Posted March 8th, 2012 09:43 PM IP We have the same one you linked, Rachal. And I think it works great. I can tell a difference from our old one, but not enough to want to go back to that. It costs like ten bucks on Amazon. Lanita ~
