Here's my spring BB board. Thanks for the pics Christy!!! They are so so beautiful!!

I got the quote off of thinkexist.com. Thanks for that tip mose_e!!

The background looks gray, but it's a very light blue.

I'm anxious to see more pics from you all!! I love new ideas!

I know, a little early for Easter, but that's what inspiration i had at midnight (tradition here is to redo bulletin boards, etc, the afternoon before parent teacher fellowship...and i had less than 24 hours...). Thankfully some of Ryan's students had spare time that afternoon to help cut out letters. And Ryan took time out of his busy day to make the cross.

Did you nail the cross to the bulletin board or is it lighter then it appears? Its very nice.

no, it is not lighter than it appears (3" X 3" solid wood). ryan put a hook on the back to hang onto the top of the bulletin board. and it's resting against that bolt on the bottom trim to keep it slanted (i didn't think that was very secure, but i'm not the one at school to dole out 'first aid' when needed).

Very nice! I like your work! I like your simple, elegant themes! At least you can rest easy now till Easter is over.

I love it Christy!!! Very refreshing! Did you cut the flowers free hand? I think the flowers and your words are my favorite part!

Thank you. Yes, I think I did a quick scribble on the papers, then cut them out. These days it seems all my boards are these last minute rushes where I have 1/2 an idea, go to school, use what's there and throw it together. When i get done I always wish i would have spent more time planning. For example--I used the colored papers for the text to add some zip, but then do I measure to center them? Oh, no. Just slap it up, then get done and feel frustrated that they're not centered. (But overall, relief that it's done. )

I can totally identify Christy!!! I did that for 9 years of Jason's 10 yrs of teaching!! This past year was the first that I went to school with a plan in my head and knew what pics I wanted to put on and I knew what words I wanted to use.
I am not one to fuss with centering things either. I would be exactly like you!! But Jason HATES when stuff is not centered, so when it comes to that part I have him measure and tell me where to staple stuff on.
I still love your board and I don't see the imperfections you see.
